I think that would be a perfect follow up fight at Heavyweight for Haye. Golota is a solid vet with power and experience and name appeal
I think a win would propel Haye into the mainstream Heavyweight picture a lot faster

I think he could fight any number of those type of HW's and be right in the picture, the division is wide open and there's bound to be a ton of support behind any exciting potential star like Haye.. My doubts lie on whether he would actually be as succesful at the top as many think, but there are certainly a whole slew of guys on about Golota's level waiting to be blasted out in his debut imo.. Honestly I would love it if he fought James Toney... Toney may just get hurt and brutalized but if he has anything left to pull together another half effort he would certainly be a great learning experience for Haye. I doubt he could stop him early, and Haye has shown his stamina can be poor late on. I could almost see another Carl Thompson episodeMaybe I'm just being crazy, I didn't see Toneys last fight but supposedly it was ugly. For the record Haye would have stood absolutely no chance against Toney at his best at HW imo, say when he fought Holyfield. So I don't consider Haye some great saviour, I'd give him a small chance against Wlad at best.
Good post JT; interesting match-up. I see Golota resorting to low blows after about 5 rounds
It would open some eyes faster should Haye beat him and beat him decisively IMO.
Golata, Rahman, or Brock. How about Audley Harrision?
it would be a good test, golota's a big strong experienced heavyweight who on his day can still cause many big truble in spurts
its important haye breaks in against big rangey heavys if hes goner face klitckho at somepoint
Well Golota is freaking easy to beat if you have enough power. Just jump on him early and he's helpless
Audley would make sense because it would make $$ in Britain. Brock would make sense because he's very beatable, but still a name and not over the hill. A win against Brock puts him on the map in the US and it will let him test himself against a real heavyweight. If he's that confident, he shouldn't be worried about risk. He should be worried about getting ready for Wlad. He's going to have to wait in line for that one. He should make good use of that wait time to build himself into a real HW and get used to fighting real HWs.
If Haye lands one not even clean shot then Golota is getting KNFO.
Haye should start of with someone easier (and more sane) that Golata in his first fight, someone who is his size like Brock, then move on to the bigger fighters.
I've suggested this fight b4 myself. IT would be a great first step at HW. Or back to HW. And honestly I'd see Haye knockin Golota right out in the very 1st round in SPECTACULAR fashion. It'd be sick.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
