Why make comments when clearly you haven't seen the fight.
Like Bilbo already pointed out, Steward was in the corner.

But thanks for the negative rep even though you were wrong.

    Douchebag.
Apparently someone else hasn't seen the fight I know I saw and heard Manny' in the corner; so what fight was WelshDevilBoob watching? I gave you some rep back buddy. That was just a dumb reason to neg rep someone

I didn't watch the fights last night but was up early and found the download at another place. Downloaded it and watched it - no sign of Manny Steward anywhere. I even commented on another board that it was a complete repeat performance of the 1st fight.

I saw the thread on here and neg repped Cortez. Only later did it become apparent that I was the stupid one as I had actually downloaded their 1st fight.

Now I feel stupid and I still haven't seen the bloody fight.

My apologies Cortez - a genuine stupid mistake by myself. No offense meant and Positive reps coming your way all this week.

Haha Yeh I sensed from the Pm you weren't a happy man.

The worst thing is I was watching the fight and thinking "why haven't they mentioned the 1st fight?" and kept wondering why Atlas and the other commentator were talking about "Cintrons long lay-off".
Not once did it sink in that I was watching the wrong fight.

I even posted the link I found on other sites so I dare say a few others are watching it without Manny in the corner.

I still think Emanuel Steward is a one dimensional coach, who can teach only one type of fighter. Taylor almost had that make-up, but both Taylor and Cintron don't have the defense to really stand in that and pick apart the opponent with the jab. I think like somebody else said Emanuel has had the best talent to work with while guys like guys like Buddy IMO are better coaches, but they are working with guys who have limited talent or motivation. Now that Emanuel is coaching limited fighters it is easy to see why he isn't the best coach.

However being a good coach isn't about picking prospects and taking them as your own. It's about making somebody in a strong fundamentally sound fighter, like FMSR did with Floyd, and like Bouie Fisher did with Hopkins. Those are good coaches because they build their fighters. FMSR has done a great job with Guzman and ODLH... their defense is so much better since he joined their camp, and that is the only key incredients a lot of these guys need. If you ask me I think Cintron should go to Floyd Snr if he wants to become good.

Another problem with Emanuel is of late he has been picking good athletes for fighters, opposed to good fighters with not just athletic ability, but heart, ability to learn new things, and that drive to succeed. I think Wlad has it, but Cintron doesn't, Taylor doesn't seem to be able to truly change his style, and Andy Lee didn't pace himself or have the heart/conditioning to stay strong later on.

Teath, most trainers train a style and body types and certain types of athletes fight certain styles better....ie you wouldn't train Mike Tyson like Lennox Lewis or Vitali Klitschko.

Manny has proven over the years that the tall, slender, and athletic fighters use his style best: Hearns, Lewis, McClellan, Wlad, McCallum, etc.

Look at who Kevin Rooney trains and tell me he doesn't go for a stereotypical kind of fighter...or McGirt or Roach or anyone else.
