Anyways it's been raining oceans here, and often if a guy can do better than San Mig, Ginebra, Redhorse, or Matador you can find them drinking Tanduay rum.

I remember a few years ago seeing a billboard of Steven Segal with the captions, "I found gold in the Philippines."

So when I saw a rainbow I was able to make a strange connection.

"Tingan mo, do you know what's on the other end of that rainbow?"

"Tanduay gold."

Anyways, I've found that Tanduay rum makes a nice gift when coming back to the states. It's funny, Customs have nothing wrong with you bringing 4-5 bottles of rum, and a dosen reels of cigerettes, but if you try to sneak food into the country they're going to bring in the bomb squad.

I don't drink hard liquour so I'm not really interested with Tanduay Rhum. My father (who was an alcoholic before) loved Tanduay. I don't know what's in Tanduay that Filipinos love.

Dried fish or any preserved vaccum packed fruits and veggies are allowable. But US custom can't tolerate longanisa.

Tanduay lapad was my drink choice when I was in 6th grade to 2nd year high school with my tropa. Cuz they're really cheap and easy to hide. I can't stand Genebra gin though. I hear stories about embalmers using Genebra gin as a good alternative for formaline.
