Oh, I agree completely that it has been way overblown. I'm so fucking sick of seeing these "Is Hatton ducking Witter?" threads pop up every week or so, but the fact remains that it really does look like Hatton avoided Witter - I know that as someone who is a Hatton fan (not a big one, but a bit of a fan nonetheless) I really wanted him to fight Witter, win or lose, just to prove he wasn't ducking him. However, none of that really matters now since Witter lost (thank God), so hopefully those threads will disappear.
Spot on, Oumafan
Hatton-Witter only mattered as a Brit fight. It became a world fight because of their ratings but really the outside support was MAINLY people bashing Hatton.. or it seemed that way at least
MOST people seem to think Witter-Hatton is a new fight. They don't realise (to young to remember if a Brit) they have history going back 7-8 years, long before they were "world" champs..

3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Maybe you'll get a clue when you get a little older.
In my opinion this is more of a mental thing for witter.. I mean dont get me wrong i dont like the guy..
But some guys dont judge well on how well they are doing or whether they win rounds or not..
Its just that witter is so supremely confident and tricky.. And hes so used to not bieng entirely busy.. Just tricky with his shots its as hard for him to score his own rounds as it is for judges to.. if you kinda understand me..
And of course it bieng himself.. if he hasnt got hurt, knocked down whatever.. he'll pretty much just find a reason to tell himself why he won most of the rounds to be honest..
And just after the judah fight he raised his hands.. he raised them last night too.. and genuinely felt he won.. He didnt .. i dont think it was a matter of tiredness or hunger issues.. He just didnt feel rushed to the extent he needed a ko.. and his corner didnt push him to make him think it either..

I don't think Hatton is laughing now, after losing to Mayweather he should have immediately challenged Witter before the inevitable loss Witter was going to have occurred. It would have been an easy night out for Hatton and probably his biggest pay day in the UK, now what's the point? Hatton's position as a major drawcard outside the UK is limited and here was a chance at getting a huge payday, speaking strictly business here, this was a dumb decision and Hatton will regret it, or at least his pocket will.
