I thought Branco did just about enough as Jim Watt did. But going over to Italy you need to win clearly and Lynes should have known this. Shame though I like Lynes, he's a good boxer, just not quite world class. I hope he can come back from this.

Branco was always going to be the favourite if he could remain competitive in the fight, and I was really expecting it to be significantly wider on the cards than it ended up being. Guy definitely wasn't unbeatable, and a guy with a bit more pop could certainly wrestle that title away from him, but being Italian, it would certainly seem likely that he'll have as many easy defences at home as he can before being put in with a real threat.

Really surprised at this outcome....
Would it be wrong to be excited about the result of a fight in which one guy got (apparently) screwed by hometown judges just because that result made you a perfect 3 for 3 on your Friday prediction picks?
I'm gonna say no

I think Lynes throw away the fight away, he started very well knocking Branco down in the second and in the 3rd he didnt do to badly either but soon as Branco relized he had to come up with more offence Lynes backed off and circled the ring just popping out his jab which was not enough to win the rounds. He should of held his ground more and force GB on to the back foot like he was doing early in the fight because Branco was not effective when going back.
Violent Demise, what does "I had Branco by UD" mean??![]()
