Now as a Brit I know I'm shamefully unpatriotic, but nothing would give me greater satisfaction than seeing Ricky get stuck on his fat little behind and knocked out again tomorrow night.

Most importantly this would put the final nail into the coffin of a Mayweather rematch and so force Floyd to fight a real opponent in 09, with the winner of Cotto Margarito being virtually impossible to avoid.

Secondly Hatton's phenomenal appeal to the British public has always completely baffled me. His horrible hit...hold.......hit.......hold fight style bores me. His tedious and predictable one liners bore me, his eulogies about how the fans love him because he's a man of the people and the salt of the earth make me want to and the acclaimation he gets in interviews and from the media for his being such a jack the lad and working class hero type guy just make me yearn for another trip to the ring corner turnbuckle and the second self knockout in consecutive fights.

    ...
Yah, his man in the street persona doesn't impress me either. Problem is, he can't tell the difference between being in the street and the studio, which is why his interviews and weigh-ins are so liberally sprinkled with profanities. Save it for the bar bozo! Let's fooking 'ave 'im! LOL. Definite lack of class.
What's a lack of class got to do with anything? He fights for a living.

What do you expect him to say?

'oh i do say, i'm going to thump that man tomorrow'

To be honest, because of how famous and liked he has become in the UK i think a niche has opened up (with a certain Hobbit leader) for individuals to become part of a rebel gang. A rebel gang that hates Ricky Hatton and all things 'nice'.

You know them sorta people who go 'the film was ok, but the book is much better'. Well they are the sorta people who hate Ricky Hatton.

Actually you are quite right. I HATE Christian Mijares with a passion merely because everybody else loves him. I don't like Cotto and I'm not too keen on Manny Pacquiao.

My favourite fighters are Mayorga, Froch, Margarito, Molitor and of course Floyd Mayweather.

I'm rooting for Lazcano to upset Hatton, Mora to wrest the crown away from Vernon Forrest and I'd love it if David Diaz managed to knock out the pacman.

I think I'm just naturally antagonistic.

You woke up and decided to cause trouble this weekend didn't you??

Unforunately i'm going to be out while the Hatton fight is on.. I was looking forward to it as I just got a high speed internet connection for the first time ever!

Before I was sharing 100kbps with my dad, now i've got 600kbps for myself so I would have gotten to see the fight properly...

I think i'm actually going for Hatton... I'm not sure where he's heading these days, but i'd like to see him get the most out of the end of his career. Hopefully take another couple of good fights in the states..

It was very unfortunate he and his body weren't able to acclamate to becoming a true welterweight as that is by far the most exciting division in boxing at the moment and Hatton really being in the thick of it would have been great to see....

Anyway, good to see ya round Bilbo... It gets a bit when your not on posting as much...

Legion dragged in a dead Donkey the other day to beat whenever he made a witty Bilbo comment but you weren't around to take the bait... I think he gets lonely without you..

Why are sooooo many people on here so against seeing a rematch with Mayweather Vs Hatton?I think a rematch would be fantastic. It would generate twice as much hype and action from both fighters as before...Dont tell me im wrong on that note.FACT!Only time will tell.

don't think there'd be that much hype because for the first fight they were both unbeaten, and alot of people thought Hatton had the style to beat Mayweather. Also if the fight had been close there'd be more demand for a rematch i.e if it was a split decision/close decision but Mayweather won pretty convincinly. Also there are other fighters than Hatton who deserve a shot at Mayweather and there fans would be pissed off if Mayweather was to fight Hatton again instead of them(Cotto, Margarito)

Dont get me wrong!I would love Mayweather to fight Cotto after all he's the Mandatory challenger! If theres two fighters to stop Mayweather unbeaten record it'll be Hoya or Cotto i reckon.Still i still reckon Hatton rematch fight would gather tonnes of interest weather Mayweather remains Undefeated or not from the Hoya fight in Septemer or the long awaited fight with Cotto.

I don't think the fight should even be sanctioned. It's not only a complete mismatch but Hatton would clearly only be performing for money so technically a form of prostitution.

Hatton offers to humiliate both himself and British boxing by agreeing to let Floyd 'turnbuckle' him again this time in front of 50,000 British fans.

He's no different from the fat girl at school who lets the lads finger her in exhange for money to buy a mint Aero.

The incident of the weigh-in is not the only time. I have no claims to the high moral road or anything, I just don't think that a sporting champion who is in the public eye should make a habit of saying "fuck" during televised interviews. It is crass and doesn't look good on him at all.
