i'm pretty sure if you're "redshirted" in college then you can't play ANY games that season.. but you can practice with the team and all..

so if you only "appear" in a few games, then it depends.. what do you mean by appear clubber? Do they sit on the bench and not play? or are they not there at all..
I guess that means do they ever get out onto the field at all. (I'm not sure about sitting on the bench)...

What if a person in their freshman year appears in 23 games (or makes 23 appearences), but in their sophomore year they only appear in 5 games?
