Good stoppage Gomez was badly shaken there.

Pheww What a fight, phenominal action A MUST WATCH.

Gomez badly shook Khan in the fight, brave performance from him and I'm now convinced ANY top lightweight would beat Khan, he has an awful chin, Gomez furious with the stoppage.
Gomez did hurt Khan quite bad in the 4th with some good body punches, Khan was holding his arms down after that, i wonder what damage Gomez did do to this body ??
The commentator said it may have broke one of his ribs, he badly shook Khan with the body shot.
Thats what i thought as well he was hit right near the liver that does take some time to recover from it totally knocks the wind out of you, i know that from experience mate unfortunately.

    Damage done regardless.
It was only a matter of time before Gomez would have been KO'd IMO.

Gomez was just covering up, if your not firing back in a five second time frame, its no reason to stop a fight.

He was covering for most of the fight as Kahn throws lots of punches but he still floored him and hurt him to the body badly.

I don't think Gomez had a fair deal

Embarassing for Kahn . Hurt to head and body and floored by a washed up superfeather. Then he tried to convince us Gomez is world class ? Gomez got knocked out at domestic level by Johanson in his last fight and he did the job better than Kahn

So much for Amir being world champ at 21 . just like the limond fight they are realising they are gonna have to hold him back again now cuz having life and death struggles at this level looks really bad ! Certainly not the next naseem thats for sure.

I can see were your coming from as there is two sides. But Gomez was taking far to many punches for his own good and was going to be KO'd sooner or later.

I think people are too hard on Amir.

I've said this often fighters like Trinidad, Both Marquez Bros. and others struggled early in their careers.

Trinindad was down in almost every fight of his career (I know I'm exaggerating) but my point is the kids gonna improve and he has room to do it. The same way Cotto did and the same way others have.

I think Khans got enough talent to be a World Champ. All he needs to do is train and focus.

Im not defending Khan here i think he gets wrecked by any of the title holders, but regarding the body shot that was a perfect one, and it does take sometime to recover from, although i didn't think Khan dealt with it well i've took a few nasty body shots and you just bite down on your gumshield and block out the pain, never show any weakness and thats what Khan did he showed a lot of weakness and an elite fighter would of sensed he was on the verge of going any second. And would of punished him much more than Gomez did.

I'm always gonna be on Khans case but to be honest he is becoming a superstar in the UK and they need one

he done OK tonight... yes he has a bad chin but his recovery skills and heart where top class tonight.

i have been screaming for them to put him in with a puncher for ages and they did this can only help improve him rather than a load of feather fists then get taken out at top level.... more please

1%, that's not even physically possible fooking idiot.

And as if he was 16% fat in his first fight

More accurate he's probably gone from maybe 10% to 6% or thereabouts.

Why feel the need to tell barefaced lies?

I bet he's the kind of kid who tells his mates he did 200 mph along a country lane as well.

This reminds there was a fat lad in our school who always talked utter crap.

He claimed he got 120 mph out of his first car on the motorway, a Nissan Sunny 1.1 I belive back in around 1991

Then he claimed whilst doing his paper round a mini almost hit him and he had to jump over it

The funniest thing we ever saw, which me and my mates still laugh about to this day was when we were walking down to the beach, down a really steep hill, and fat Marcus cam down on his bike with no hands and went round the corner.

When we came around the corner a couple minutes later he was covered in scratches and trying to get his bike out of a ditch and the front wheel was completely buckled.

We laughed loudly and long at him.

Con was in with a fighter who was a good puncher at 130. Not 135. This was Gomez 2nd fight at Lightweight. He was 3-3 in his last 6 fights coming in. No doubt he was shot. And Con goes life and death with him? No wonder they always keep him away from punchers. That chin is pure china. No doubt all the top fighters would destroy his ass.
