    Pointless thread.

    Stick to youtube.

That's where the non-subjective arguments belong.

Yeah, I'm not a Calzaghe fan myself but this is a bit ridiculous. I do think that before these last few years he did very very little as a champion and think his skills are overrated but he's not crap.

    Bait thread!

Yes Calzaghe fought some cans (shell i list Roy Jones resume?) but he fought some ultra solid guys before Lacy.

To be honest, Joes style of fighting isnt too pleasing on the eye, he does throw alot of arm punches, he doesnt put his back in to them.

Personally I dont particularly find his fights exciting.

What I do like about him is how he can piiss all over very good fighters with that style, his workrate and desire at his age is amazing, he takes a good shot and roars back.

What would be interesting is if they were the same size, Calzaghe v Mayweather, Floyd is hard to catch but lays on the ropes alot, especially against aggressive fighters, Joe would keep throwing those combinations and Floyd wouldnt keep out the way, hed make Floyd work like none has and catch him like no one has.

Joe has a style that could potentially beat anyone in history, no one has come close yet even fighting good fighters in his late 30's hes dominating like he was 10 years younger.

He demands respect and what piisses me off is all the gay boys that went on about how big and ripped Lacy and Kessler were and they were sure to win because of it, its not a body building contest its fighting and no one can match Joe in a scrap.

Jones is just a name to add to his resume, if he fights Pavlik id be concerned for him, especially if it were at super middle because his last Two fights would have been against old has beens who cant fight hard any more and both would have been at light heavy, I think hed struggle to make the weight and may struggle finally at his age with the pace. On the other hand it may have allowed him to stay that bit fresher, not struggliong with the weight and fighting young contenders.

Calzaghe on his day outworks and stops Pavlik late after being hurt a couple of times Pavlik is good no doubt but Joe is proven quality

To bring Mayweather into this is dumb... yo just said Calzaghe throws arm punches... you think Floyd wont stand toe to toe with an armpuncher In your fantasy matchup Floyd on paper would have the speed, power and accuracy advantage along with the quickness and light years ahead on defense... Not to mention Floyds straight right hand would land time after time, while Floyd sits in the pocket ducking and rolling Calzaghes punches.. Floyd would shiit all over him

I agree that bringing Floyd into this is unecessary. But since he already is, Floyd would beat Joe...
