At about round 6 I thought it would be a demolition by Cotto, but Margarito re-grouped very well and deserved the outcome.

Secondly, I can see the unwillingness of people to give Margarito respect before this fight and in many ways, rightly so. One or two blemishes on a record are understandable, but 5 defeats in 35 fights is alot and there have always been these questionmarks about his quality because of this. His defeat to Williams did nothing to dispell those doubts.

What Margarito has shown is that although careers are short, fighters go through spells of form just like any other athletes. Careers are not over because you have lost and you can still be great, the defeats may even make you better.

Alot of fighters can learn from these two guys. Both were willing to fight anyone who was infront of them and that is what this game needs more than anything, less politics, more good fights.
Definitely, great points.
