Both fighters are good for the sport and both fighters are good guys to root for but im picking Jermain Taylor to really do a number on Jeff Lacy.
Taylor starts well
maybe drops him
then the fight becomes close.
one fighter who has nothing to lose and the other who is wondering where he stands, i feel its going to be last chance
mind over speed and power
Didn't see the Omar Sheika fight but i did see the Rubin Williams fight and he did show his class in that fight i still think he can do it for some strange reason but i just don't think he hasn't gotten over his embarrassing loss to Joe Calzaghe and i think alot of Jeff Lacy's bad form is based on him not believing in himself anymore and not having confidence and those injuries haven't helped either...........................
But if Jeff Lacy can show some of his old form this could be a good fight because Jeff Lacy is a good pressure fighter at his best and he has a solid chin and if he can get Jermain Taylor into the later rounds where Jermain Taylor has faded in the past we could see an upset but the question is will Jeff Lacy show his old form ? i think he could do because this is the first elite fighter he has fought since the Joe Calzaghe fight and that may make him more up for this fight and the money will for certain motivate him but we will have to wait and see.

No I don't think so because I've seen Lacy fight Mendoza, Manfredo and Tsypko. Nothing impressive in those fights, I give him a pass against Tsypko cause of the injury, but has looked really bad lately (last few years). He mind is scrambled and instead of taking a knee to avoid Mendoza he tackled him. Lacy is gonna get slaughtered against Taylor.

It's easy to look good against a guy like Williams who has never beaten a quality fighter. Sorry to sound like Teddy Atlas, but everytime that guy stepped up, he lost. By the time Lacy fought Sheika, he had his ass handed to him by Joe C and Thomas Tate, and he lost two wars with Scotty Pemberton. Robin Reid was shot by the time they faced. Jeff Lacy has never dominated a quality fighter in his prime. He didn't even dominate Manfredo.
Some this his was because of injury and some of it was being overmatched with Calzaghe when he has fought nothing but a bunch of club fighters and shot old men. At one point, he had plenty of potential, but I don't see him coming back from the injuries at age 30 to be a better fighter than he was before. Too bad. I like Lacy and think he's a good guy, but it is what it is.
If JT keeps his hands up and works behind his jab, he'll make easy work of Jeff with a UD.
I like Lacy but after seeing his last few fights I cant really seeing him trouble Taylor much. If he turns up with anything like a percentage of what he had pre-calzaghe though (when he did used to look awesome) he will.
Lacy is all too willing but if Mendoza is catching you with jabs, than Taylors jab and right will do a number on sliding Lacy. The level of overall experience alone just spells IMO, a bad ending For Lacy now.
