A definitive answer.....Kessler vs. Pavlik

Tough one to call but I have just edged towards Pavlik probably because he is undefeated. But when I think about it I can't help but remember his first fight with Taylor. I picked Taylor before the fight and early on I thought to myself that Pavlik was showing he didn't belong in there with Taylor and had Taylor had the gas to finish him we wouldn't even be talking about this now I don't think.
But he didn't and I think Pavlik learned more in them early rounds of that fight than he has in his whole career and it made him a far better boxer.
Kess is a good solid fighter though and I would probably expect him to maybe beat Calzaghe in a rematch should it happen but I just sway towards Pavlik here.

I voted Kessler, I think it would be a great fight, sided with Kess because I think he's a bit more skillful and has never been down, that been said we haven't seen what Pavlik's power is like above middle and theres a good chance he could well get Kesslers attention with a big right

Kelly is a BIG middleweight and probably is a natural super middle, so I really don't see anyhting in Kessler that Pavlik has not seen against Jermaine Taylor.

I think Pavlik wins by stoppage....I think a fight vs Hopkins will be a tougher test than Kessler and allow me to explain.

Bernard Hopkins #1 has never been stopped and he has fought very good fighters #2 is a cagey vet he has little tricks he uses that nobody as young as Kessler knows about, and #3 he's got legitimate power and every Calzaghe fan knows that...Joe might have been off balance but he got dropped by a so called "Old Grandpa".

Mikkel Kessler is a tough guy I think his chin is good but as good as he may be he's not tough the way Pavlik is....Kelly took shots from Edison Miranda better than anyone else has. Kelly has fought better competition more consistently.

I think it's a pick'em fight but with Kelly's experience vs good solid boxers AND huge power punchers I think he has the best chance of winning providing the fight happens.

Sure would love to find out, should be a great fight. Pick Kessler at the moment, Pavlik is largely unknown at the weight, I think he'll still be powerful but not with the advantage he has against his fellow Middleweights.
