Hoya was able to lure PBF to a 70-30 purse split last time since he was the champ and PBF the challenger but now Hoya got no more belt and PAC deserves to get a purse share of 35 to 40 percent IMO.

Yep no Pac will fight fight Soto or Valero for peanuts now

Hey I see were you guys are coming from but money is money man.... Pac has nothing to lose in this fight. If he beats Delahoya then it adds to Mannys already impressive Legacy, moving to Welter and beating the GoldenBoy and then become rich beyond his wildest dreams..

If he loses then he moved up 40 pounds over his natural weight to lose to a bigger stronger Delahoya, his PFP status and 135 title will both intact and OH YEA... HE'LL STILL BE RICH BEYOND HIS WILDEST DREAMS!!!!!!!!!

Pac stop bullshittin around and make the fight

Pac has made the correct decision. I wasnt into this anyway. Oscar is trying to finish off his career by making the biggest fight against the smallest guy possible. Really lame IMO. Oscar is in it only for the money and it shows more than ever. Golden Boy, my arse, he's a fruit loop with his suspenders and thing for little men.

I want to see him fight Margarito if he is to fight anyone. And I hope DLH gets mauled and loses an ear lobe.

    I really dont like DLH.

Are you one of those who said that this fight is a freak show when negotiation was still alive? Why you're mad when PAC dumps Oscar by standing firm on his demand for a fair share of the purse?

It's surprising Pac is turning down $15m considering his best ever purse is $3-5m.. BUT.. Pac isn't at the very end of his career.

He wont make $15m for any other single fight, but may make MORE than that sum for his next three fights.. especially if one of those include Hatton.

Earning $15m in defeat is surely not as good as earning $15m in victory

These kind of fights show the ugly/greedy side of boxing. Neither of these fighters should be looking for this fight to happen. There are plenty of natural/great 147 pounders Oscar could/should be fighting. And Pac has plenty of great opponents at 130/135. But $$$ and publicity sometimes trumps all in this business.

So Oscar is getting 70% and it's fair?

Come on guys, let's put down our biases here. Pac is taking the greater risk. He's the smaller guy and he's doomed to be KOed in this fight. Pac deserves 35% at least.

Pac doesn't need to promote this fight. Unlike Mayweather vs DLH, this fight is a publicity in itself.

Boxing should be beyond nationality. True boxing fans don't care about nationality.
You see the numbers to Pac last PPV? That shows nobody really cares about Pac unless he's fighting another big name. Oscar can fight your mom and people will watch. He without a doubt deserves the bigger purse. And what the fukk is Pac even complaining about? That 30% is a career high purse. Take the money and fight. You ran your mouth. Now you going to biitch out?
umm which opponent do you think can make a fight against david diaz get better ppv numbers? you think oscar can?

I duno who else there is out there for Oscar to fight

Ideally Margarito fights Paul Williams or Santos again. Hatton fights Pac . That leaves Oscar with a potential Mosley return or Mora fight

Winky Wright would be great choice for ODLH's last stand.

I'm really confused on how I should feel about this Pac vs DLH fight. I don't want Manny to get seriously hurt but I want him to fight DLH coz I believe Pacman already wants to retire. The best way to retire is to get as much money as possible.

As a true pac fan, I must honestly say that fighting ODLH is simply for the money. For me, nothing's wrong about this. Fighters do fight for the money. It's part of the game so there's nothing wrong about it. Pac had proven already that he will fight anybody. He had already proven his courage and this time it will be harvest time for his great contribution to the boxing world.

Besides, Pac is a philantrophist and he gives a portion of his earnings to my countrymen. This is primary the reason why I want him to have more of the split.

Do you know De La Hoya once sold out the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas with Patrick Charpentier as his opponent? It don't matter who Oscar fights. People will watch

BREAKING NEWS REGARDING PACQUIAO-DE LA HOYA
BoxingHerald.com was just informed by Manny Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach that negotiations for Pacquiao's fight with Oscar De La Hoya have NOT closed.
Roach also stated that he "wouldn't want a dime" if Pacquiao loses to De La Hoya.
Obviously, the LA based trainer wants the mega event to happen.

I believe in Coach Freddie Roach, he sounds sincere and genuine in PAC's safety and welfare, but I still believe PAC will lose this fight.
