Calzaghes wins a UD because of his superior movement, speed and boxing intelligence. His granite chin is also another reason why he can't lose to Pavlik.
Granite chin huh ? You have to be kidding ?. A 43 yr old B-Hop who hasn't KO'd anyone in years put him down with a right hand. Compare the power in Hopkins right hand to Pavlik's and Joe would get KNFO. Only one outcome IMO.

Hopkins power at 175 > Pavliks power at 168. Pavliks only fight above 160 went the distance against a guy he knocked out previously although Taylor did fight a smarter fight the second time round. The KD against Hopkins happened due to him being off balance and not expecting the punch, if i am correct he got up in 4, wasn't even hurt and WON the fight.

Fighters getting knocked down doesn't mean they don't have a granite chin. Look at Margarito.... he has one of the best chins in the sport and he has been down a few times.

Margarito has only been down once if I'm correct early in his career. Also it's a bit insulting to call Pavlik one dimensional. He showed his boxing abilities in the second Jermain Taylor fight and we've seen plenty of times his power and him willing to trade.

He was down more than once early on but we must remember that he turned pro at 15. That is a child

Danny Perez dropped Margarito with a body shot back in 2002

I'm sure he has been down more than that.

Taylor doesn't have good lateral movement like Calzaghe and always tires down the stretch, Calzaghe doesn't tire and his lateral movement is pretty good. Calzaghe's southpaw stance might pose a problem for Pavlik as well. Pavliks best weapon is his right hand, In the kessler fight Calzaghe adapted and took away Kessler's right hand who is a better technical boxer than Pavlik.... Once Calzaghe adapted to the right hand it would all be over for Pavlik. Styles make fights and Calzaghe's style is perfect against Pavlik.
