I just don't see why everyone thinks that Manny Pacquiao will get destroyed Steve Forbes who spent majority of his career at Super Featherweight/Lightweight gave Oscar Dela Hoya a good argument over 12 rounds and busted his face up somewhat and yet before the fight everyone thought it was laughable that anyone even thinking Steve Forbes could make it competitive was silly and so did i im not saying Manny Pacquiao will win but i think people need to remember Oscar Dela Hoya's previous fight and IMO i think Manny Pacquaio has a decent chance.

I already started two threads tackling the size difference issue of Hoya-PAC fight.

The first one is about david vs. GOLIATH fights. This year alone, there were so many david vs. GOLIATH fights happening and still many more to come. Why people were protesting about Hoya-PAC when in fact these kind of fights do happened regularly...

The second thread showed that it's been proven before that from flyweight to heavyweight, size is not everything...

Good to see some of you "think outside the box" and understand that boxing has another side to it...

There's a difference between "thinking outside the box" and being a "crazy conspiracy theorist"

Oscar, understandably (well, to me), wants his final fight to be MASSIVE and a WINNABLE one. With no Mayweather rematch, Hatton turning the fight down and Cotto losing to Margarito - who does that leave? He needs a STAR opposite him..

    Manny Pacquiao!

What better way for the multi-gazillionaire, Oscar De La Hoya, to leave boxing than go having dethroned the current P4P No.1. The guy that beat Morales, Barrera and JMM - "The Mexicutioner"!!! (that alone gives him a serious incentive to win.. and it's a good selling point to boot)

As for Pac - he can't lose. He makes a once in a lifetime payday and should he lose the actual contest - he was simply too small. He will move backdown for MASSIVE fights with Hatton and the like.

Yes, boxing is all about MONEY!!! But that naturally comes with HUGE event fights like this, without any bullshit underhand motives necessary.

IMO Oscar has pulled this stunt before and not too long ago

    My thoughts exactly!!

If DLH is taking this fight as a fight and not a promotional scam, then no way on earth can Pac win imo. BUT....... I think Pac will win

So you think the multi-gazillionaire is gonna throw the fight?

    Why?

That's why Fenster is the prediction champ last season. He makes sense.

I think the chance of Pac getting hurt is there. But I don't think he will. Pac is a smart fighter. He's not going to stand toe to toe with Oscar.

Don't ever rule out Oscar v Hatton at Wembley stadium (90,000) somewhere down the line which would easily be the biggest money spinner the fight game has ever seen and a nice exhibition match for both at catchweight

I do think the size difference is ridiculous. DLH is a bastard and there is no other word to describe him. Im not even a Pac fan, but I hope Pac somehow manages to piss on Oscars parade because its good for life as well as boxing. Sometimes the smaller guy reallycan beat on the corporate pig. I hope this is one such time.

I think Oscar is going to try to carry Pac for a few rounds then knock him out. I want Pac to win this one so bad but I just don't see it happening. Oscar will really take this victory and make it seem like he just beat king kong!
