i hope its against a decent fighter. I know its more than likely not to be, but hes only young, its very early days for him. Bruno got sparked out when he was on route for his world title. Khan may have to wait another 10 years haha but he will get there.

Is that a route most fighters want to take? Being known as an also ran or loveable loser?

Its going to be a long wait for Amir if he needs an unwilling crackhead to donate his title to him.

funny thing is i think they might not stick him in with a punch bag.... as that is what got him sparked out in the first place, he became unscared of what he was being hit by.

a rematch would be a massive risk... but if it dosnt happen the $how is over

    but please no more PPV's

He needs to take out Thaxton and prove to the UK public he can "ave it"
Would gain him loads of respect if he could bounce back and take a Thaxton out
i got a funny feeling he might even go that route!

Bruno was no also ran or loser. He lost only to the very best. The era he fought in with Witherspoon, Tyson and Lennox Lewis was lightyears ahead of todays crop and he was competitive with all of them except Tyson and he even rocked him in their first fight.

If Bruno was around today he'd be a world champ without question. He'd blow away most of todays fighters, and of the domestic scene Williams, Skelton and Harrison, none of them would make it past 6 rounds with him.

If either Lewis, Witherspoon or Tyson were in their primes I'd bet all three could unify the current mediocre division, no shame in Bruno losing to them.

Totally different Frank Bruno lost to James Smith who could punch and won a World title, and give some of the better Heavyweights good arguments. Plus Frank Bruno won almost every round against James Smith until he got caught in the last round by a lucky punch and then got pounded along the ropes until he crumbled, Frank Bruno never had a bad chin he just didn't have survival instincts.

After what happened I think he's got to go down the british title route and fight the likes of Thaxton , Murray , Earl etc.

Ideally I'd like to see him do what Nigel Benn did after he lost to Michael Watson. Head over to the USA and fight some seasoned yet not to remarkable Americans without to much exposure. He'll get his confidence back and he'd learn a lot from the fights and the sparring there without as much of the immense pressure he has every time he steps into the ring here.

Problem is Khan is now virtually the only Ace in Warrens hand and he's going to be even more over protective of Khan now than he was before.

I don't go for this got caught cold stuff as an excuse. Khan didn't go into the fight with a game plan (well not a good one anyway) and he paid for it big time.

Is he chinny.... maybe a little but it was his defence or lack there of that cost him the KO this time.

For the record I think Khan would beat Thaxton with his speed. Had the fight taken place a year ago Thaxton would have probably stopped him.

People are talking of him fighting Martin Gethin. I really hope he does and think (and hope) Gethin can beat him.

I think Gethin is a harder comeback fight than i thought they'd have (if it happens of course) considering he's coming off stopping Fewkes.

Expect Khan to win.. but he's obviously no certainty
