I think Calzaghe thinks he has a lot to prove after his dismal display against Hopkins. Roy wants this a final legacy boost, Joe wants to stay unbeaten.
They wont hold anything back. They just seem very friendly. Were seen partying together after the Hopkins fight in May.
Doesnt take away from the fact that Joe should school Pavlik then retire and not retire on this.

I think that is EXACTLY the case.
They are far to friendly. It's just two old boys in a MEANINGLESS fight making some easy dough.
They've probably already agreed on a cosy 12 rounds. It wont be boring. Calzaghe's workrate will keep the action flowing, Roy puts together a few dazzling moves. Calzaghe gets the decision to keep the unbeaten record intact. Roy leaves none the worse for the outing, moves on to next oldboy - Hopkins maybe?

I don't know about that. Evander Holyfield and Hasim Rahman were being very friendly before their fight and Holyfield still headbutted him to death.

they are pretty good friends outside of the ring.
I know they roy was having brecky with joe, big enzo er bruce willis mikey J fox and sly stalone the morning after the hopkins fight.
Both guys have said how friendly the build up has been so far.
but why do fighters always have to go at eachother if they do respect what the other guy has done?

I think Joe will do enough work to win and look busy and Jones will show sporadic flashes of brilliance from time to time and it'll go the full 12 with Joe taking a wide desicion.

Roy Jones still has some attributes to trouble Joe Calzaghe especially with his speed. But he hasn't got the stamina anymore and that showed against Tito, Hanshaw, and i can't see Roy Jones winning a decision with such a low output especially against a windmill like Joe Calzaghe, although i will be hoping he does.

Still should be watchable, I don't expect too much clinching.

good points i think roys gonna come well prepared to beat him he knows joe aint got the power to ko him and roy still has a little power to his punches and can probably flash ko joe a few times. this is one of the main fights im waiting for. im rooting for JONES
