I don't listen to or watch Fox News...hate to break it to you buddy. And I am more independent than Kirkland or anyone else would have you believe but no one cares to ask me any specific questions on any issues and therefore I can't explain when I do disagree with McCain and ESPECIALLY Palin....but You don't care about it and that means your worse than you make me out to be.

Well Kirkland I hear "McCain doesn't know about the economy"...well neither does Obama and at least McCain tried to pass legislation to help the economy....I hear "Palin isn't qualified" well neither is Obama....I hear "If McCain is elected then Palin is going to be one heartbeat away from being the President" ...if Obama is going to be elected then HE is going to BE the President and Biden is a "heartbeat away from not being Vice President" but nobody thinks about that.

Obama's buddies are WORSE than anyone McCain even knows....and I'm talking about anyone McCain has EVER known like the dudes who beat him when he was a P.O.W.!!!!
McCain has insane economic policies and is advised by insane people, the very people who brought you the current meltdown. You'll notice he's flip flopped on his economic views since the current phase of the solvency crisis started. Obama uns=derstands the situation and is advised by non-insane people who also understand the situation -- a couple of years ago while McCain was claiming "I'm always for less regulation" Obama was sponsoring a bill to create oversight of the mortgage industry, something voted down by the GOP. McCain had admitted that he doesn't know anything about the economy.

Here are some specific questions for you since nobody asks you any :

Explain exactly what legislation McCain tried to pass to help the economy.

Explain who Obama's bad buddies are.

We should run a sweepstake to see which nationwide US bank is going to get bailed out this weekend. I'm going for WaMu with a bonus bailout of the Federal bank bailout agency which will be all out of funds after next weekend. Never mind, I'm sure Americans will find a way of adapting to $10 gasoline.

Was McCain a POW? I never knew that. He kept that quiet.

While he was a POW and served in the military and that's to be respected i still don't see how being a prisoner in Vietnam qualifies you to be president. So was Gary Glitter and nobody's going to vote for him.

I'm sure that'll get the ticket a lot of votes. I think there are a big bunch of people who think the election is just a big reality TV show and are going to vote for who they'd most like to see play the president on TV for the next four years.

If I have to listen to Palin's voice for four year I'll kill myself.

In 2005 McCain co-sponsored The Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190 a bill which would have added regulation to Fannie and Freddie.

Obama's buddies: other than Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers, there are a couple of his TOP financial advisors who worked for Fannie and Freddie and got millions of dollars from their "work"

What a fucking piece of shit McCain is. There is nothing respectable about him. Fucking hell, he has raised political pandering to a new level. Again. The guy has no shame.

lets call off the debate so we can fix this economic crisis. Right like you could do something about it and it would have to be done Friday night. Political pandering at its worst. He's run such a cynical campaign, how stupid does he think we are? (no comment)

Fuck him, exile him to Siberia.

What is the over/under on how many times McCain will talk about being a POW tonight?

    hahaha no kidding.

The Republican strategy at the convention cracked me up. As a small town mayor I had actual responsibilities, unlike community organizers. Yeah, I had to get 78 people to vote for me, fuck you community organizers. I thought it was funny when the director of John Adams accepted his emmy, he said thanks to the community organizers who started the country. Normally I would dismiss it as liberal Hollywood. I wonder if I can get a rant from Lyle on Janeane Garofalo's liberal agenda and possibly her ties to radical Islam.

But really, I agree I was so into this political race at the beginning now I realize how ridiculous this political machine is. Oh well, hopefully Obama does win I mean really the joke has to stop somewhere. I like McCain though, I think he's funny but everytime I see that rat bastard Tucker Bowns on CNN I stop and think how anyone actually has these views. But I do like McCain and don't think he believes half the things he says on the campaign trail.

Talking points suck. But it's funny how all of the republican talking points have come back to bite them in the ass, mostly at their own volition.

No, McCain sponsored a spoiling bill to block a Democratic bill that would have actually reformed mortgage lending. I'm going to do a blog post soon which will show how the mortgage crisis, Fannie and Freddie etc. happened. Be sure to look out for it, it'll be an entertaining read. I'm just hoping I bump into a few more nice quotes over the next few days before I post it.

You'll see that the current meltdown came about due to a bunch of deregulation led by McCain's buddy Phil Gramm. The McCain campaign refused to comment a few days ago when asked would Gramm be appointed Secretary to the Treasury in a McCain administration so he's clearly still in the running. In a democracy with a free press McCain potentially appointing the enabler of the current mess to clean it up and be in charge of introducing and enforcing new regulation when he's made a lucrative career of smashing regulation would make a few headlines.

Obama isn't buddies with either his ex-pastor or Ayers, a man who sits on charitable committees that both Republicans and Democrats sit on. No Obama economic advisor has worked for Fannie and Freddie, never mind the top ones. One guy was mistakenly called an advisor by one newspaper and the McCain campaign seized on it to claim Obama was being advised by the guys who brought you the Fannie and Freddie bailout, the companies responsible for six trillion in debt.

However the opposite is true. McCain's campaign manager was lobbying for Fanie and Freddie till last month, even after it was clear they were fucked, something else that isn't getting much medai coverage. And they were paying for literally nothing other than the campaign manager would have a big job in a McCain government (like Karl Rove) and would get them access. That's technically illegal. He should be facing conflict-of interest SEC charges. If you or I did that we'd be breaking the law.

And now he's acting like a drama queen because he's behind in the polls. He really is a sorry individual.

Jim Johnson and Frank Raymes(sp?) are advisors to Mr. Obama and they were big into Freddie and Fannie.

There was no oversight on Freddie and Fannie and WHY? Because the DEMOCRATS blocked that legislation.

But I digress there is enough blame to go around, Phil Graham is worthless yes you are correct.

As for Obama he calls this crisis the "Biggest we've ever faced" and then says "If you need my help on anything just give me a call"....you're a fucking Senator not BATMAN!!!!! Get your ass to Washington and do your fucking job. And what he wanted was a joint prepared statement with McCain....what fucking good would that do

Lyle, isn't McCain the one who is swearing up and down that he knows how to catch Bin Laden? He said that, that he knows how. So shouldn't he...share?

No Lyle, Raynes is not an advisor to Obama. A newspaper mistakenly claimed he was and the McCain used this mistake to put another bs ad out criticising Obama despite the Obama camp telling them beforehand it was bs. Johnson was one of three people om a vetting committee for Obama's vp pick. Once a potential conflict of interest occurred when Fannie/Freddie blew up he resigned. This is not the same as having your campaign manager continue to make money from lobbying Fannie and Freddie months after they became a problem and not resigning, something that's illegal.

The Democrats didn't block any actual legislation. The people who created this problem are the GOP who deregulated the mortgage and investment banking industries so that the mortgage guys could sell their mortgages to investors via securities. Since they took control of the Senate committees in the 1990s the GOP have deregulated the shit out of the financial industry. They're the guys responsible for this. Read my blog post in a few days.

Neither Obama or McCain are involved in the actual negotiations over the bailout bill. Neither of them need to go to Washington to do anything. McCain is just grandstanding because Obama is polling better than him over the economy. He hasn't actually suspended his campain, all the field offices and TV ads are still working/running and his people are still constantly on TV. McCain is doing primetime interviews for three national TV networks tonight. So he's obviously really busy saving the economy.
