He beat a guy named Andy from Minnesota.

Paul Williams melted Kolle like a damn damn Nutty Buddy on an African sidewalk. It was a pretty bad KO. You didn't even need to see the whole sequence, just the beginning and end. Here they are:

Well ICB, can you please enlighten me on how you determined that he showed he was stronger, sharp and had speed in the 93 seconds that the fight lasted...
I personally can't determine all that in 93 sec. now that's just me. Maybe you have a different approach to it?
This fight for me meant nothing more then just a payday/stay busy fight.
Nothing more nothing less.
Well for one notice how quickly he was countering and how fast he was popping out the jab, that determines that he still had his speed and sharpness it looked no different than he did at Welterweight IMO, and i think the extra muscle will help him hit harder. Because at Welterweight he was having to drain himself all the time which makes him weak, and he seems to be sitting down on his punches much better. Andy Kolle may have not been an elite guy but its still an impressive performance, and it shows Williams still has all his attributes at Middleweight.
Im still waiting on a ......JK ......... from those predictions
edit: Man ICB,you're serious![]()
Shit!
Either I'm really a Williams hater or I need to learn how to look at these fights in a different light.
Cause I did not get all that like ICB states...
All I saw was Paul backing him up, which was something expected.
Throw combos which he normally does and KO, Kolle which was figuered he'd do.
As for the power well he showed lots of it vs. CQ II.
As i said to you before the fight you need to look at this fight in a different way, this fight was just to show us if Paul Williams could still have all of his best attributes when moving up, which he did show and the extra muscle will make him hit even harder and with the added advantage of not having to drain himself which is great for Williams. Kolle is no elite guy but whatever way you look at it its an impressive performance, and Williams will be a big threat at Middleweight.

sorry mick, but i also was impressed with such a quick KO.. I sort of always looked at the punisher's fact that he had a high KO ratio at welter was because he was so much bigger than everyone.. so to see him do it to someone his size was reassuring that he does actually have some power..
let's put it this way, if i was a welterweight, and saw him just ko a middleweight in one round, it would be intimidating to fight him at WW..
i still find it hard to judge PW though.. i mean besides quintana and margarito, he hasn't fought too many top WW's.. there is no doubt he is a great fighter, and has a wholleee lot to offer, but i'd love to see him mix it up with some more top WW's.. clottey, cotto, someone else on that level.. He definitely beat margarito up a bit, but was losing it towards the end, tony started wayy too late, and was down too much before he put his foot hard on the gas..
if anything, i'm more intrigued now than yesterday to see where his career goes..
Lets not loose sight that this was Paul doing just as many expected ultimatly......KO'ing his set-up "showcase" opponent. He has found some identity with style but one step at a time. He don't KO a Monzon and/or a Leonard based on this and Quintana blowout.
I'll tell you what Spicoli Kelly Pavlik reminds me of a modern day version of Carlos Monzon, only his chin ain't as good. If Paul Williams could beat Kelly Pavlik im not saying he will, but if he could that would give us somewhat of an idea of how Monzon vs Williams would go IMO.
