Lennox got lucky that's all there was to it....an awkward punch caught Vitali wrong and ripped his eye up.

The point of the matter is that it was an awesome fucking fight big old Lennox and Vitali standing toe to toe and beating the crap out of each other...it was exactly what the division needed.
don't see how u can say he was lucky. If it was only one cut, fair enough. but he was cut and busted in more than one place. that is from good clean slashing hits, then targeting the same spot to open it up.
Theres nothing lucky about it . If anything Vitali was lucky the ref never let him continue. Was Tyson "lucky" to catch Spinks . Was Mayweather "lucky " against Gatti ? No the better fighters won .

Vitali wasnt good enough that night to beat a washed up overweight Old Lewis and thats a fact . He wasnt even good enough to last 6 rounds.

Let me ask you #1 When was the last time Lennox cut someone like that #2 When was the last time Vitali got cut...not cut like he got cut vs Lewis but just cut period

The cut was opened by Lennox glancing a punch as Vitali leaned back in defense. Any other time this happens either Lennox lands clean, misses, or glances in another way which doesn't cause a cut that bad.

Don't think Lennox wasn't trying his damnedest to get Vitali out of there as fast as fucking possible too. He was as tired if not MORE tired than Vitali at the end of the fight.

These things happen I just wish people would stop acting like one guy whipped another guy's ass.....it was an even fight at that point. Sure Lennox had momentum swinging his way but from the way he looked at the end there was no telling how long that was going to last.

I will just say THERE HASN'T BEEN A REMATCH FOR A REASON and everyone knows why

It wasnt just his face that was cut , his mouth was cut , basically he was cut to shreds by Lewis ' punches. Not headbutts.

I disagree Lewis was more tired at the end . He had a massive 6th round. Vitali had given it his best shot and was begining to get tagged by big shots . He finished the . . barely .

Yes there hasnt been a rematch and we do know why .

Tyson and Spinks didnt rematch for the same reason . . . . There was simply no point . Unless Lewis was paid whatever he demanded then why would he want to do something he has already done . . . stop Vitali .

GAME that is fucking ridiculous to compare a 90 second blow out to a highly competitive fight which was stopped by cuts....it wasn't stopped because Vitali wasn't defending himself, it wasn't stopped because Vitali was knocked down, it wasn't stopped for any other reason than the Doctor said "stop the fight".....that's it that's all there is to it and to think of it in any other way not only shows what an incompotent fan of boxing you are but it belittles what actually happened in the fight.

There was no rematch because Lewis wanted to retire without losing his titles....the fans, the press, and everyone else except Lennox and a small minority of his fans (who knew what was up) wanted a rematch. Everyone wanted a rematch because NOBODY wanted the fight to end because of a cut.

Ha ha. Neg rep and insults? I think Ive touched a nerve

Lewis wanted to retire without losing his titles ? To a bloke that couldnt even last 6 rounds with him on his worst day ? Get your head out your arse Lyle and look at the facts . Vitalis best shots bounced off Lewis . How was he gonna win the fight ? He couldnt last 12 . He couldnt drop Lewis . He had no chance of winning . His body let him down too. He quit vs Byrd cuz of his shoulder. He kept pulling out vs Rahman cuz of his back or leg etc . His skin couldnt hold up vs Lewis.

Just accept the fact , your boy got beat fair and square !

If it was soooo simple to beat Vitali then why not get paid big time bucks to do it again I've never known a fighter to turn down such a purse retired, active, hell you offer that money to Jack Dempsey and he may rise from the grave!!!
