It's also very possible he kept himself in better shape before training camp than he did before the Calzaghe training camp. But it's obvious he was in better shape. He fought at a much higher pace without getting tired, thats a fact.

But against calzaghe he fought at a very slow pace, had a ton of breaks, but still managed to get tired. This isn't rocket science.. all we're doing is putting facts together guys.
Different fighters look better against different opponents. Certainly if you saw Hopkins struggle with Taylor and compared that to the ass whupping Joe put on Jeff Lacy you would assume that Calzaghe on that night would piss all over Bernard.

Thing is boxing isn't as simple as that. as the tiresome old cliche goes 'styles make fights' and Pavlik simply couldn't cope with Hopkins style.

Calazghe himself had troubles early but he did what he has always been able to do and adjusted to control the fight in the late rounds.

Im not talking about how they fought, bro.
That all fits in the category of styles. What i'm pointing at is that at a much slower pace hopkins got tired against Calzaghe.

But at a much higher pace he went 12 against pavlik. I'm not saying the outcome of the fight would have changed at all. Styles make fights, Calzaghe, IMO, has the style for a guy like bhop.

But Bhop fought at a much higher workrate against Pavlik without any breaks and didn't Gas. So, really, he should have Gassed against Pavlik, not against Calzaghe. But it was the other way around, and I don't get why.
