Okay here's the video showing everything leading up to the end of Bute.

As you can see, starting with about 35 seconds left, Bute cannot defend himself at all!! How long should it take a ref to stop the fight if it is clear that he cannot defend himself? Not 35 seconds. A lot of damage could be done to the fighter in that time.

At the 29 second mark, the ref makes a break that I did not think was necessary, and kind of extended it by keeping Andrade away a second time.

Also, isn't the ruling supposed to be, if it's clear that the ropes stop the fighter from going out of the ring, it should be considered a knock down? Just like in the Marquez/Vasquez fight. Look a the 16 second mark, Bute nearly hung himself at that point, and it looks like the ropes kept him in the ring to me. Okay, maybe this one I'm might be grasping a bit. What do you guys think?

This time, I really did blow poor Danny's ear drums out!! I started screaming so loud at that fuking ref, Danny had to yell at me to stop.

Well I definitely don't think the referee should have stopped the fight, Bute had won every round apart from the 5th and there was about 30 seconds to go when he started to get in serious trouble.

Believe me if he'd have just waved the fight off and not given Bute a chance to get up he'd have been crucified and rightly so imo.

It was a really difficult call imo, the ref didn't handle it well but it's becuase he's human not because the fight is fixed.

At the end of the day regarding the long count, if the ref has to take responsibility for being over zealous in wasting time making Andrade go back to his corner then Andrade has to take some responsibility in leaving the corner in the first place. He should have gone straight to the corner and not moved.

If you use the excuse that he was excited and emotional (and of course he would be) then you have to give the ref the same benefit.

Very disappointing for Andrade and I really think there should be a rematch but I definitely don't think the fight should have been stopped before the knockdown, and imo he just barely got up within the 10 seconds so should have been allowed to fight on, and by fight I mean wrestle Andrade to the ground and hold on for dear life for the final 4 seconds of fight time

FUCK YOU Marlon B. Wright... You piece of shit.

Andrade WAS in his corner, of course he wasn't glued to the fucken post but which fighter is? Most fighters hang out there not literally in the fucken corner with the back on the post. He was in the neutral corner and VIDEO proves that.

It's a known FACT that you've ref. all of Butes last fights ALL consecutively. You are also a Canadian ref. and a piece of shit not because your Canadian but because you CLEARLY sided with Bute.

He held often and stopped the action throughout the WHOLE fight but yet you warned him ONCE in the 10th round I believe and told him to stop then when he held again in the next round you did nothing about it.

Yet again through the whole fight you found things about Andrade to warn him about..

Now I gotta ask you, you piece of shit Marlon B. Wright.

You stopped Berrio in this fight vs. Bute CLEARLY Berrio was out ON HIS FEET but you DID NOT even bother to count.
Yet Butes ALLOVER the fucken ring falling and tripping clearly the ropes only holding him up and the fac that he was holding on to Andrade.

So please Marlon B. Wright EXPLAIN how the fuck you stop this but you let Bute continue?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk1j-0cM7LI

I'm sooo fucken pissed right now, honestly Marlon B. Wright if when the sun rises tomorrow your stopping current in some river, I would not be too bothered with that...
This was CLEARLY favoritism and fucken disgrace to the sport.
I'm glad you NEVER made it as boxer and I'm glad that the loss you had was by KO you fucken hit the canvas like the made bitch that you are.
    FUCK YOU MARLON B. WRIGHT!!!

My head hurst from yelling and cheering on Andrade from round 1 to the 12th my neighbor came over around 4th round and said if he could watch the fight, he said he was trying to watch a movie but couldn't because he heard me yelling so loud. My voice is almost gone from yelling in round 12 and I broke a glass cup which I threw in the back and I broke my broom put on my gloves and hit the heavy bag with a PICTURE of Marlon B. Wright on it that I just printed.

Bute I've got no beefs with you, it's not your fault plus you showed tremendous heart of course you wont admit to loosing but I know and I saw it in your interview that YOU knew you lost.
But again this has nothing to do with Bute.

Andrade my god man I hope that my screams and chants!
"Hechale, CABRON!! VAMOS PINCHE ANDRADE GUEVOS CABRON!"
helped I saw you fight out here in Los Angeles a few years back I became a fan since then you and your brother always leave it all in the ring.
Andrade your slowly realizing that a BELT does not make you a champ the PEOPLE make you a champ and that's what you are A CHAMP.

GUEVOS ANDRADE!!! PA DELANTE CABRON HE Y TU GENORASIDAD DESPUES DE LA PELEA ES GRANDE CABRON EL SER HOMBRE SALUDAR A MARLON B. WRIGHT ABRASARLO Y TAMBIEN A BUTE Y SU ESQUINA...

    ERES GRANDE CABRON!!! GRANDIOSO!!

Maybe the best post I've ever read on here.

I picked my boy Andrade to win by ko as well........I'm so pissed I haven't even been on here to post. Fuck this. I'll go a step further than not being bothered if Starling stops current Mick; I would like to be the one to help him dam the river. Tree shredders are my friends. That is all. Die Marlon, die die die die. That's 2 of my fave current fighters losing in the same week; thankfully Margarito isn't fighting tonight or I'd be chewing my nails in anticipated dread.

No, when Bute stumbled back into the turnbuckle the fight should've been waved off.

With 20 seconds left in the fight and him winning all but one of the rounds you would have called it off before he even had a chance to get up?

Mayorga had one second and wasn't given a chance, so your point?

There was about 3 seconds left in the fight when Lucian Bute went down i think.

Ricardo Mayorga was losing the fight and had no chance of winning, Lucian Bute had won almost every single round.

    Agreed one hundred percent.

Wrong! Did you see the cards? Many thought Mayorga was winning or at least it was very close.

At what point was Bute unable to defend himself is the real question though.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I actually had Mayorga winning that fight and was suprised when the judges had it to Mosley -the referee couldn't have known in any case (and yes, I know he wasn't getting up anyway )

Been stewing on this at work earlier. They do have a standing 8 in Canada as well right??Would have been a perfect time with Bute prior to the KD.

One thing,The Bell was late as can be.Bute hit the deck with 1 or 2 seconds left in the round and No bell sounded what so ever, surley Bute's corner new the clock expired? It only rang once the Ref finished 8 count, wiped the gloves and turned to let it continue.......I believe it was Bute's corner man that worked the ref and pointed too Andrade near the corner.

I fully think the ref was biased, calling breaks after Andrade landed clean on a few occasions,B.S KD called on him and not calling the hugging by Bute but.......truth be told Imo And I have no interest at all in Bute and really like Andrade but Bute beat the count, all the ref had to do was ignore Andrade, toll an 8 count, and the fight was well over...no dispute

I was watching the fight casually with no stake in either fighter. I actually had the sound off, but when I saw Buke get hurt I scrambled to the remote control. There is no doubt that Buke was out on his feet. I went back and watched it again and was amazed at the referee bias throughout the fight. This is either the worst referee ever or a referee that was bought and paid for! I can never root for Buke after this. I don't anticapate this problem when I watch UFC tonight. FIXED!
