    My favorite part of boxing....

When it's a big PPV fight, and the national anthem ends, and the crowd roars, and then there's about a 5-10 second pause.... and then you hear Jim Lampley say, "TALE OF THE TAPE...."

I LOVE that moment, it never ever gets old. After all the hype and all the talk, at that moment you know the fighters are finally about to walk to the ring and face off.

That's my favorite moment whenever I tune in to watch a big fight.

In the Pavlik-Hopkins undecard for the VERY 1st fight between Jacobs & Watson.

The 1st words out of Stewards mouth about 15 seconds into it he says.

The thing with Jacobs is hes got a solid amateur background.
I couldn't help it but laugh and think of SweetPea.

Mick, I've heard rumblings of a Luevano-Juarez fight in the near future, and I'm very VERY excited about that matchup, because it might cause Steward to blow away his previous record for mentioning solid amateur backgrounds.

If that fight goes 12 rounds, Steward might mention their solid amateur backgrounds over 100 times easily.
