Why do you not have a chance to neg rep me?

Just spread some around and get to it.

As for voting in Obama, I'll give them credit, they chose the best candidate and didn't let race interfere. They also didn't rig the election so it's all cool.

Obama definitely seemed like the best candidate, not old and senile, not a warmongerer and of course most importanly of all not another Republican.

George Dubya's presidancy was a catastrophy so at least they didn't vote in another one of those guys.

I hope Obama does a great job.

I honestly thought Morgan Freeman would be the first black President.
The biggest mistake McCain made was that he stopped being this so called Maverick that he claimed to be and he began sucking Bush's stick and drinking Bush's koolaid . Voting 90% of the time in favor of the Bush doctrine hardly makes one a Maverick. With that being said, McCain was still a Maverick but he was always hanging out at the George W Bush's Prairie Chapel Ranch McCain might not have bared the brand of W but he was marked none the less.

Sarah Palin was another huge mistake

I think the economy was the final nail in the coffin.
The only reason that Obama did not win by an even bigger margin was the fact that he was black and had no real experience but being black was the biggest factor.

McCain's negative campaigning turned many people off.

I think I could be here all night talking about all the mistakes McCain made

Anyway... I am very happy Obama won, this brings hope to the rest of us in America, us being the non whites of course.

And BTW this was very historic. I am once again proud to be an American. lol

Congrats to America, his speech was excellent to say the least. Easily the best speech I have been able to witness. But this conjures up parallel's to past presidents/leaders which offered hope, only to be shot. Will you guys not kill him this time? I sure as hell hope not as he has bought such hope and positivity to a country, that a million people came to listen to that unbelievable speech.

I wish Australia would elect someone who had some charisma, instead we get Rudd

It means the same thing as all the elections that happen in America. Half the people think it's great news and are really excited. Half are scared out of their minds as to what the next four years holds.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Exactly, 150 million people are angry as phuk

John McCain showed his real colors last night, he bowed down and supported Obama, John McCain should have run a cleaner election but his weakness is and was the economy so he really had no leg to stand on, I still think that had he just faked the funk from the begining and just stuck with talking about the economy and not try and change the subject with things such as lip stick on a pig, Bill Ayers, Rev Wright and Sarah's race bating, McCain could have won. His negative campaign turned people off and it felt as though we were going backwards and not moving forward. Sadly, half of our country is still stuck in the past but this was a huge step for people who had lost faith in America. This is DEEP! Change takes time.

I have no doubt that Mccain is the most progressive Republican out there, but the fact that he bowed to the old guard on the same old Republican campaign strategy showed more than anything IMO that he isn't truly a leader, not at this late stage of his life anyway.

    Here's to Obama.

    WEEEEE! HEEEEE HEEEEE!

    Hey bro,

The greedy bankers that Obama took tons of money from? The one's he voted to bail out? Obama is related to Bush. You don't get put in a position to win unless you are a good old boy. Don't believe the hype. Obama isn't "one of us" one of the regular people. He's in on it or he wouldn't have been nominated.

    Nice pic though.

Notice how the popular vote was split, but not the electoral? Do you really think your vote counts?

Of course people's votes count, you may not like the electoral college system but its determined by states which is determined by how people of each state vote, its not rocket science.

I guess I'm just not cynical enough, how anybody after 8 fucking years of George Bush could think there was still no difference between Republicans and Democrats is beyond me, its just inane.

Do some research and you will see. There's differences but minor. Both supported bailing out the banks. Both support the same corporate influences. It's all about money. Don't believe the hype Obama is a good old boy. He's a member of the council on foreign relations.

Inane is probably better represented by the word insane. There is a huge difference between Republican and Democrat, its just that the significant minority of the populace is just too ignorant and stupid to care.

Thank god, a significant few noticed the difference this time out to make that difference.

As for luvfightgame, you seem like a bit of a dick.
