Who will NOT recognise Hopkins and Calzaghe as genuine champs?
Fenster were going round in circles here mate yes Calzaghe is number 1 light heavyweight in the world he holds The Ring magazine belt but he doesn't hold a WBC,WBA,WBO, or IBF belt so he isn't a genuine world champ by any of the 4 governing bodies. You know what i mean but as usual your being your anal self FACT.

If the Ring is not a "genuine" title why are Calzaghe and Hopkins refered to as TWO-WEIGHT champions?

Look at all the press reports.. here's your history

Calzaghe wins light-heavyweight title - Yahoo! Eurosport UK

ESPN - Light heavyweight champ Calzaghe set to face Jones on Sept. 20 - Boxing

Joe Calzaghe Beats Roy Jones Jr In Light-Heavyweight Contest In New York And Becomes A Boxing Hero | World News | Sky News

Joe Calzaghe calls time on world-title reign - Times Online

LOOKING through WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF history will reveal they weren't "their" world champions. Neither will Roy Jones be seen as world champ according to the WBO, he never won their belt.

No doubt, if Calzaghe decides to have another fight it should be against Dawson first. In fact Froch should only even be on the list of maybe's if calzaghe goes to the states to fight dawson and wants one last fight in cardiff, then and only then does Froch MAYBE make sense.

Other wise, hahaha the guy is nearly what, 32? never held a title, never even been in a world title fight, has he even fought a top 10 SMW yet? and yet people say he should get a shot at a guy many believe to be the best SMW of all time, or a guy whos considered to be #1, 2 or 3 p4p in the wrold, shit the only thing Froch has done for people to mention a fight with him and calzaghe is being born in the UK like him, if he was german, fench, russian etc etc nobody at all would be speaking about it.

I know exactly what you're saying. I'm showing you Calzaghe is a genuine lightheavy champion too. There's nothing to elevate the alphabets above The Ring title.

History will show Calzaghe as the lightheavy champ - without a poxy alphabet.

No report says "non genuine light-heavyweight champion of the world" does it?

Chad Dawson is more hype than legit. Not aggressive enough in the Tarver fight, he had his man by the 6th round if he fought like a Champion. (Not to mention that Glenn Johnson is pretty long in the tooth also.)

Even though the Hopkins fight was "boring," I'd rather Calzaghe face Hopkins one more time, THEN if Joe's still around (he shouldn't be) he could take on Dawson, if he's still around.

Hopkins Calzaghe, someone has to shut ONE of them up! Why not they do it to each other?

Joe has nothing else to prove at this age and point his career, why fight till you loose ?? B-hop fought very little, jones even less, a young dawson is a whole different thing. A couple of years back joe could probably decision him pretty easy right now dawson would be too much, and i've had enough of matchup's that would have been good back in the day so i'm against the b-hop match as well. Go out on top joe...you talk like you don't even like yanks why try so hard to impress them.

I don't think either one is capable of dominating the other one in a fashion that would shut either up. There's no way Calzaghe is stopping Hopkins, and I doubt Hopkins, even a rematch, execute against Calzaghe like he did against Pavlik.

Dawson showed much better defense in the Tarver fight. That was one of my big knocks on him. They guy is still developing and he already had Adamek, Johnson, and Tarver on his resume. That's a pretty good start.

Dawson/Calzaghe would be a much more exciting fight. Both guys are busy, skilled, and fast. Both guys move well. Both guys can fight coming forward or backwards. It's an intriguing matchup.

Anyone that says Dawson is faster or could beat Joe knows zero boxing. Joe is faster than Dawson after downing a case of beer.

This one will never happen. It does not make financial sense for Joe. A fight with Johnson might not either. A rematch with Kessler makes more $$$ sense to me or a beat down of Pavlik. Forget Taylor. JC woould mug him like a mugger does his thing against a guy walking through Central Park at 2 in the morning. Best option is retirement IMO.
