Another Slight Against Christ

I must agree that Christmas has a pagan origin but celebrating it does not mean celebrating the pagan traditions. We are simply commemorating the birth of Christ as celebrated by almost all who believe in Christ. Finding the accurate date to celebrate the birth of Christ would be impossible. There's no record as to its exact date. If we celebrate it in September or October(assuming one of them is the correct month), the next question would then be.... What DAY?

Regarding these atheists, if they don't believe in Christ or in God, why would they be celebrating Christmas?

First off Agnostic, secondly because for one single day of the year, people act like the people they could be,and treat each other with kindness
Maybe their doing it for the sun god, maybe theyre doing it for Kwanza,Maybe theyre doing it for Hannuka maybe their doing it for the heck of it.
But they are doing it that day
Thats something worth celebrating all on its own

Christmas has no real spiritual meaning for me. Christmas Day is the same as any other day really in Korea. Its different back home because Mum likes to get stressed over cooking the Christmas dinner and there is family and gifts for everyone to share around. But even back home it has never been symbolic of Christ, its just about getting the family together and have a day without bickering and eating well. I would appreciate that more if I was back home, but it certainly wouldnt be a religious thing. Family is all it could be about for me.

And here I am still waffling on, and never getting around to going home.
