One fight in 2008?? All seems like such a waste. He wanted the recognition and to then not build on it by taking an extended time out is foolish. The guy most likely has another 3 years at the top. Maximum. And here he is trying his best to be inactive for what will be almost a year.

Some logic! Margarito might be able to take a punch, but there sure isnt much of a brain being rattled around.

think he might be over enjoying his win over cotto
    Exactly.

Better to stay in view and at least try to fight twice a year. Having a big win and then taking a year off is too indulgent and completely fails to build up any new momentum for his career. If you only have a good three years left, you dont take a gap year!!

Man i am bummed i thought that Shane had a good chance to get a decsion out this the only guys to beat him were ones with solided jabs and boxing ablity and i thought Shane got a draw with Cotto it was close. Oh well he is fight Berto which makes me mad because i like both. I hoping for Shane though because i like him more he may have the power to spark Berto maybe push him around a bit should be a good fight i guess. As for Margrito kinda think his a twat now hope he loses tell you the truth. I am a not fan of Mayweather but what Toney doing is no different and i think it is lame that some people are making exuses for him which there is none. I hope he does fight Oscar and it is at the LMW and there i think he may get sparked by the old golden boy i dont know what people think Margritos going to do Oscar he still has the ablity to box and he has a better chin the Cotto and has better power go Oscar knock the twat out so why you used to be the pound for pound king once again i be rooting for you think people over rate Margrito because of the Cotto fight but Oscar is bigger has reach, has the same if not better boxing ability, has more power and most important a chin which i think while big the bigger factor of the fight because Oscar can out point him and has enough power to hold him off i feel Oscar can take this guy down.

This really causes me to dislike Margarito. He used to embody the proverbial fighter that would fight anyone. Now, after getting his first taste of real financial succes, he has suddenly turned into Winky Wright.
