OMG, and you guys call yourself men?

How can you be afraid of something that you are a million times bigger than?

Something that you can easily kill by crushing it with your foot, a finger, a shoe, a newspaper, or a multitude of items.

How can you be afraid of this.........

You guys ought to watch the movie "Kingdom of the Spiders" sometime just before you go to bed. hehe

Wasn't there a hit song some years back, called "I Don't Like Spiders and Snakes"

Myself, I have issues about flying stinging insects. I very seldom panic, but being buzzed once by a few dozen wasps, as an adult after I had already developed a fear of them, was enough to push me over the edge big time. Not fun.

I feel ya Andre; some people like snakes and some people don't.....Tiger snakes are in the top 5 most venomous and can ruin your day buddy.....In fact I saw an article last week about how 5 people have been tagged by Tigers in a weeks period I believe it was...Luckily anti-venin is readily available to you guys out there; no anti-venin you'll die and it won't be pleasant.....Tigers, especially the ones from Tassie and Chappell-Reevesby Islands rank almost #1 on my mosted wanted list; I envy you can see them every day....Cool thing is Australia is where they think most snakes started from, that area, and the antivenin from a Tiger will take care of other bites from species like a King Cobra or some African cobras, pretty cool stuff imo.....You guys have the most varied array of snakes of anywhere in the world, and the highest # of venomous vs. non venomous....I wish I could export your Tigers I would have a room full of them already And what I wouldn't give for an Inland or Coastal Taipan...Australia is the coolest place on earth if you like deadly animals.....

Yeah I've always known as in knowing they are around, but actually having the little fucker flatten its head and come at me is another matter.
Still i wont kill it; but today Im up early and are making a sack on very long stick with a wire loop and one with just the wire cause my back yard is a mess and i figure if there is one there, then there must be at least three . is that about the score?

This one yestrday was the teenager I dont really want to meet dad or mum .
I sealed up the cracks around the plummbing pipes under the vanity units last night cause they can get through the slightest gaps I heard from the lads yesterday. Im amazed I even slept.
I can handle spiders we got white tails ,red backs, wolfs, trapdoors, and these big black fuckers (dead ringers for funnel webs that actually live in a funned web) "But Im told they are not the same as the sydney funnel thats more deadly than many snakes and they actually rip blow flies apart instantly or just mug them with big fangs and then drag them in .
    Cool I can handle all of them and we shake our clothes out usually;
    ...but snakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH FUKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.

Maybe I should just wear my wetsuit and a pair of gum boots or wellies around from now on.

Well Andre I know you said you don't want to kill them but with all due respect, if you use a wire noose on the end of a stick you might as well kill them.....you wire them like that too hard and put ligature marks around their necks or bodies and it will scar and then they won't shed properly; enough bad sheds and it gets like leather on their bodies and then they die from parasite buildup underneath or if it doesn't shed properly on the eyes and keeps nuilding up they can't see. Might as well whack them and be done with it.....Where are you located I know a couple guys around Melbourne that get tons of calls and will come out and remove them for you.....or just get a stick with some type of metal or plastic hook like end to it and just maneuver them around it's pretty easy just stay away from the pointy end

Yeah thats what i ment thick wire loop with a sack hanging off the end and the other one to lift him into it. not thin wire. So that I can get at least a 8 feet runing start on him.
Its up in a thick hedge now so I doubt it will come out til the day warms up. cant see it we just know where its at cause it didnt come out again. And our whole house is between it and where it used to live so i recon we'll see him again about 2 pm in the heat heading back across our back yard.
The boys that came yesterday were great and searched for a long time but you know by the time you ring and take your eye off the fukkers they could be anywhere.

Is it true they come out for milk?

Strange what we all fear, I'd sooner tackle four obesse middle aged women than a 2 foot snake.

How bout this, the funnel web spider...one of the deadliest in the world...found in australia Or how bout the taipan snake, or the inland taipan...also known as the fierce snake possibly the deadliest snake in the world. Australia has most of the deadliest snakes in the world which make rattlesnakes sound like cute little bunny rabbits. We have man eating crocodiles, a vast variety of sharks including the great white and bullsharks. Not to mention the fucking wombats! Seen the claws on those fuckers?

Never been a fan of snakes, you can not 'read them',or I can't.And are fast as s!!!. After Katrina this place was infested, all over and it was freaky. I had a fatty one slide under the door at work, they were yelling cotton mouth, cotton mouth, so I grabbed a shovel and ...well.Turned out it was a 'mouser' and reg black snake basically harmless they said. I felt a proper asshole for a while.

Now sharks scare the dog-squeeze out of me.No problems with spiders.

yeah i have a show recorded called the world's worst venoms and a large proportion of them were in Australia They showed some old guy who tried to pick up a platypus and got jabbed by the needle like thing on its tail and he said it was the worst pain ever he had; and he'd been shot beofore

Those funnel webs are bad news; get hit by one and they have a serious atracotoxins venom; massive sweating and chills and the heart rate flies off the scale. Cool shit.

We here Australians also have our dangerous water animals as well.

    i.e.

    * Box Jellyfish - The infamous box jellyfish developed its frighteningly powerful venom to instantly stun or kill prey, like fish and shrimp, so their struggle to escape wouldn’t damage its delicate tentacles.

Their venom is considered to be among the most deadly in the world, containing toxins that attack the heart, nervous system, and skin cells. It is so overpoweringly painful, human victims have been known to go into shock and drown or die of heart failure before even reaching shore. Survivors can experience considerable pain for weeks and often have significant scarring where the tentacles made contact.

Box jellies, also called sea wasps and marine stingers, live primarily in coastal waters off Northern Australia and throughout the Indo-Pacific. They are pale blue and transparent in color and get their name from the cube-like shape of their bell. Up to 15 tentacles grow from each corner of the bell and can reach 10 feet (3 meters) in length. Each tentacle has about 5,000 stinging cells, which are triggered not by touch but by the presence of a chemical on the outer layer of its prey.

    * Blue Ring Octopus - This gorgeous animal with many blue rings on the body inhabits the Great Barrier Reef. They are not aggressive and don't grow too much, but if you grab them they will release poison kept in their sting. This poison is very powerful similar to snake bite, and can easily kill a human if medical attention is not given within a couple hours.

    YouTube - Blue Ringed Octopus

    * Stone Fish - Another cousin of the Scorpion fish. This one loves river mouths and rocks instead of coral, but they live in coral too. It is can be found anywhere in Australia, and you should wear shoes when walking on submerged rocks and coral. If you catch one on line, you are better off cutting the line than trying to remove it from the hook. Also this one is ugly, not charming like the Scorpion fish. Hospital, again with sirens will be your destiny if you get stung.
(there are bad mother f'ckers and getting spiked by one of these is supposed to be one of the worst pains you can possibly feel) They look like big odd shaped rocks with a big spike or spikes coming out of the top of them... Most people who get stung is because they stood on one...

    * Then Sharks of course
-They are everywhere inhabiting all Australian coastal waters. But surprisingly they kill less, and cause less harm to humans, than snakes and all of the beautiful creatures mentioned above. In the last couple of years Brazil has had many more shark attacks than Australia, and it seems they have enough food from the ocean, not to need human food. Anyway, it doesn't mean that you are safe. Pay attention when swimming. Some beaches in Australia have shark nets to protect the bathers. Note also that some canals in Australia, like the Gold Coast canal system, have become a reproduction area for some species and all care is recommended; do not swim at night in these beautiful and calm canals. (2 victims died in the last 2 years). Talking about White Pointers, they are protected a species in Australia, and if you kill one, the Government will kill you - I mean, fine or jail you.

Between these 4, it makes it pretty dangerous to go in certain regions of water around Australia at certain times of the year....

Ever been stung by a Jellyfish Andre?

I couldnt belive I didnt know it happened while I was out there.Must have been real quick and underwater or maybe it was still a bit dark when I went out and I thought it was a rock and I just stepped over like a fool.
