It was a good fight , the scores were way off , but i had Froch winning , im not sure he will last long if he doesnt tighten his defence.
Pascal was not a big puncher but shook him a few times.
All in all a very good win , he should fight Kessler next.

Also i dont see Froch as a grade "A" hitter either , his power is over rated in my opinion.
Look forward to seeing who he fights next.

Haha I really hope Kessler and Froch (AKA Froggy) get it on, and I hope it will be in UK. I think that Kessler has a pretty good change of taking Froch out.

I will agree that Kessler have had poor fights after Calzaghe, because they went after the WBA joke belt, and Haussler was a mandatory challenge.

I just looked at the WBA ranking in SMW and if Kessler decides just to keeps this belt, he will be a champ for the next 10 years.

But Kessler would like to unify the belts, and now Froch is a possibillity

Anyway I thought Frovc vs Pascal was a great fight

The thing that really stuck out was the slow pace - almost like at times the fight was being fought in slow motion. Both fighters looked like nerves had drained them early on.

Froch had a better range than Pascal - Carl had the distance spot on while Pascal would often fall short with a jab. Both took and landed tremendous shots - it is fair to say that they were both were far to easy to hit.

Froch I thought was looking tired at mid point and at times ragged while Pascal's output just faded - he didn't have the engine to throw volumes of punches while Carl seemingly got a second wind.

Superb action, drama and it was tense and explosive. The fight had everything and both proved there hearts and chins and the post fight interviews proved both men had class and dignity.

Superb fight and a rematch in the future would be great.
Froch definately won - no doubt about that - the early rounds were close but Froch won the last few in my book.

I thought it was a brilliant fight.

Both should be praised for fighting their bollocks off.

It was closer than the scorecards but the right man won. Well done big nose.

Yeah great fight last night.I kept on shouting at the t.v for Froch to keep his damn left hand up after getting tagged all the time from Pascal's over right hands!Lets see if Calzaghe steps up to the plate and gives us all what we really want and fight Froch!

    Well done Froch.

It really would'nt surprise me if there's a Froch vs Pascal rematch somewhere in the near future!

Great entertaining figt that answered a lot of Q's. Froch has a very good chin, but little defensive capabilities, he has decent power but isn't the wrechink machine that his fans wanted everyone to believe. He's shown that he belongs competing with the best in the division.

IMO he'd be the clear underdog against Kess. 50/50 with Bute, with the advantage going with the home fighter, and also 50/50 with Taylor (I reckon Taylor is more skilled but won't be able to take Carl out.)

This shows just how padded Froch's record has been, and it's pretty good indicator that he's a big fraud. Pascal is a very average fighter. If Pascal pushed Froch this far, imagine what Kessler will do to him. It will be a lamb led to slaughter. Andrade would knock him out and Bute and Taylor would easily outpoint him.

He a good opponent for anybody because he comes to fight and that makes fr action, but he is who is he. A decent but flawed fighter who will get his ass handled to him by the upper echelon.

He wasnt as bad as all that, but if he doesnt stop dropping that jab hand to his thigh,a faster opponent is seriously going to make him pay for that

Reminded me of Benn v Gman a little bit and it was a proper scrap with both landing wicked punches throughout the 12.
I had Froch by 2 or 3 and he showed a great chin but needs to fire off that jab way more if he were to face a Kessler and win.
BIG rumours he's gonna fight Taylor at the Garden and i think the Cobra would wipe the floor with him and i think he'd give Kessler a tough fight and might have the awkward style to even beat him.
One of the best fights in the UK for a while.
Froch is a force at Super middle!..Simple as.

It was entertaining in as much as they were quite evenly matched, both are limited skills wise, both get hit alot and neither has a ko punch.

If Kessler or Calzaghe, were to ave faced either of those Two it wouldnt have been exciting because they would have been figuyred out very quickly and controlled.

You also have to remember that they are both used to fighting journeymen, people who they have lots of advantages over, as soon as they face someone on their own level they struggle, when they move up again theyll struggle more, this win does nothing for Frochs standing as Pascal wasnt tested himself, Pascal is known to have a shaky chin and he fought very wild with no worrys of Carls power

The funny thing is, we all ready knew his strengths and weaknesses.. they were just highlighted by the higher calibre fighter...

His chin has always looked solid at lower level.. and now passed the test in higher class.

His defence has always looked awful.. and got totally exposed as that in higher class.

His power has always been decent without looking dynamite.. which showed in higher class.

I reckon Kessler would slaughter him. He has a good chance against the others though.

Haven't seen it but shocked to hear that Paschal's chin held up in a war type fight, looked shaky before.

I was pleased Froch won but I'm going to be honest...

He seemed nervous and I think that slowed him uo. At times he seemed to be fighting very stiff and straight up with little defence. If he had been facing a top puncher he would have lost (no matter how good his chin is... and I think it's very good). He was forced to punch down a lot because Pascal continually ducking below the waistline. Uppercuts would have beena useful weapon but these were only used rarely and often as lead single shots.

Froch showed a lot of heart but if Pascal (who says he had modeled himself on RJJ) had been 60% of what RJJ was then he would have won.

Froch will struggle against fast agile opponents....

You could tell that both fighters especially Froch were nervous before and during the first 3 or four rounds. You could see how tense their both were as their were throw punches.Cant blame them really, with them having undefeated record each!Froch started to ease and relax in the 5th!
