Definately a lot of hopeful talent there. I'm liking Danny Jacobs he should be making a big impact by the end of 2009.

When I read Ortiz was prospect i the year I was really surprised...

Not sure what he did, who he beat to rank above guys like Angulo, Gamboa, Andrade, Dirrell.....

But I do agree there are some exciting new fighters coming up the ranks!!!

Solis should be damned good,but only question is how old is he really. Cuban athletes are notorious for fudging a few years off their age

I agree I was also really surprised at Ortiz being made prospect of the year, I think he has had a couple years beforehand that rank better then is 2008 where he really hasn't done much at all in the way of stepping up.

I think it's Dirrell who has had the best year of any prospect especially considering people thought he had blown his shot completely after his fight with Curtis Stevens where people were asking to never put him on TV again.
