I'm in favor for PAC having the lion's share of the purse split, maybe not less than 55% due to these reasons:
    - PAC the no. 1 P4P boxer
    - PAC the "hottest" boxer right now
    - PAC the early betting favorite against Hatton
    - Hatton got only 30% share in the PBF fight (from what I've read)
    - PAC got only 35% share in the Hoya fight
    - PAC the no. 1 boxer at 140 (according to BoxRec )
    - PAC has huge fanbase (maybe a very close second to Hatton's)

I'm just presenting the FACTS pare that might be considered in the negotiating table...

But I think all is well now with both boxers receiving 50% on everything including the UK PPV revenues...

At the end of the day, credible arguments can be made on both sides about who deserves the greater share of the purse. 60-40 with the winner taking the bigger share of the purse seems like the best decision to me. I think all fights should come with with a bonus for the winner of the fight.

140 isn't the division that it used to be. Hatton will struggle to find a fight with a third as much limelight as this fight will get. The only one I could think of is Hatton against Witter and 1)Hatton isn't going to fight Witter and 2) that fight would only be as big of a draw as a Hatton vs. Pac fight in the UK. In the States average fight fan probably doesn't even know who Witter is. And throw in the other names at 140 like Bradley, Holt, Ngoudjo and you won't find very much anticipation among your average boxing fan for a fight against Hatton. Pac has alot more options. Now if Hatton decided to move up to 147 than were talking a whole new ballgame.

we all know that. but come on. there are still a lot of people here who doesnt think of pac as a ppv draw. thats how people are. we all know pac is the bigger draw here base on what he has accomplished this past year. 3 fights in one year. 2 for the belt, one for recognition. everybody doubted him yet he accomplished what we had to do. if anything, arum is the one who gets the blame for this mess. regardless of what happens, promoters get paid. the dont have to get punched in the head to earn their living. what do they care?

I think 60-40 Pac is about right to be honest Pac is now the guy everyone is talking about, the guy who just made Dela Hoya the darling of HBO look like an old man, hes the hot ticket, Hatton on the other hand just brings the British PPV, i mean he does make the fight much more appealing and potentially is the biggest PPV event in volving Pac other than Mayweather, so Hatton does bring something, but Hatton v Lazcano wasnt even deemed a big enough fight to be aired free on HBO, I think Hatton has done very very well getting 50/50, but they are going to make huge amounts and it makes sense for Pac to take 50/50 rather than ask for 60-40 and the fight falling through which like i said i think he dererves as he will make loads more than he would with any other figth bar Mayweather.

I have no opinion on this, because all I want is for this fight to happen. Like water seeking its level, I believe, the fight purse would do so naturally. As pointed out both camps have valid claims as to their trenched positions. No one will give an inch, as it is still quite a long ways till fight time. Hype can likewise be playing a factor here, ensuring a lingering reminder that a mega fight is on the calendar for May 2nd. It keeps us all buzzing about, haven't we?

The Pacquiao camp countered a February deadline for the 60/40 split favoring their group, to the deadline set Friday (?) by Hatton’s for the 50/50.

The PacMan is dead set to go in a different direction if and when their proposed split, or an agreeable one at that, is not met. Who needs who? Who want it more? I remember everybody and anybody wanting to fight Pacquiao. Manny’s name have been called so many times, confusion had set. It seems likely that they’ve somehow mistook it for PBF’s, and miss-spelled it as Money Pacquiao! LOL!

Without DLH fight, Pac PPV tops 400K with the JMM fight. Now that he beat DLH in spectacular Fashion, his numbers will grow up exponentially.

What was Hatton's PPV #s? 850K over PBF? But this happens after PBF beat DLH. So you Credit PBF's beating DLH for that. Why do you think Hatton's fight after that is not PPV? Coz it won't sell.

He's not the one with the title.
    I don't believe he's the bigger draw.
He's actually more accustomed to fighting in the U.S. than Hatton.

If Pac wants 60% he should put on a championship stake, the winner walks away with 60% the loser 40%
Pac title is the #1 P4P. Who cares about IBO belt?
He is the linear champion, the man who beat the man and the true Champion at 140lbs.

It has nothing to do with belts, Hatton isd the actual champion at 140.

Oscar wasn't the champion, or a contender at any weight.

hatton beat paulie but not as convincingly as pac beat dela hoya. pac paid his dues and now he deserves a bigger slice of the pie.dela hoya might not be a belt holder but he is the biggest ppv draw. you would think that hatton would get 50% against dela hoya if they were to fight?
