Lol yeah I quoted the wrong person in my haste to get my rant out
The Larios stoppage was McCullough on his feet pleading with the doctor to not stop the fight. He hadn't been wobbled or put down (never looked close to going down in his whole career) just was taking a worrying amount of punches, considering his age and the battles he's been in.
I have no idea why they even had a 2nd fight. The first one was competitive but to me was pretty one-sided. Larios dominated the second. The last couple of rounds were especially brutal for McCullough. Larios hit him with every thing.

I remember reading a story on McCullough a while back. Said the hardest punch he took was an upper cut from Victor Rabanales. Caught him on the point of the chin. Jarred him so badly he thought he was sitting on the coach with his wife watching TV. Good thing for him he recovered fast.

Yeah those last couple of rounds was a ridiculous sick beating. It was amazing how coherent/normal/right he was when protesting the stoppage to the doctor.

I read that about Victor Rabanales too.. don't remember the bit about him and his wife watching TV though
