yeah words don't mean shit with out action. And it makes no sense to move up to a weight division to fight other guys when he wanted leonard.
after cleaning out everyone he challenged SRL..and leonard dismissed him...so then what? move up fight a few fights with guy that aren't champ so the champ can still deny you?
Think dude, wouldnt it have been advantageous for leonard to accept the challenge and be the first man pryor would see at 147? It's all specualtion anyway, simple speculation and opinionated bullshit from a bunch of guys in a forum.
But its a fact that pryor challenged SRL as you saw for yourself in the video. When you find me a video showing leonard accepting the fight if aaron moves up then debate over. Until then the FACT is pryor challenged SRL numerous time and SRL dismissed them all without reason.

I dont have to find a video because i know it doesnt exist. the fact is that pryor did nothing but say a few words and did nothin action wise he didnt go up in weight or even bother to challenge any other guys that SRL beat. Pryor took no action in the ring if he wanted to fight Leonard make a statement in the ring thats it.

Like Daxx said ducked or scared aren't the right words to use. But Leonard definitely avoided Pryor!!!
Pryor was forced to move to Jr. Welter because none of the lightweights (Watt or Kenty) would fight him!
They used to be real close friends, roomed together as amatuers everywhere they went.
But Leonard became Mr Big & wanted things all business like, Pryor once said "Your making people millionaires, how about you & me make a fight?" If Ray wanted it all business it could be all business!
Leonard said it was a possibilty but never took it any further.
This is just one example that Pryor asked Leonard for a fight on numerous occassions but was always avoided for one reason or another...
