Now its time to go get his ass, just about 6 hours to go till go time.
I feel so bad for him right now,he's nervous as hell.
To explain,he was never in good shape,or had anyone training him before,so if he lost, well he wasnt in good shape and didnt have anyone training him,so who cares.
Now he is in good shape,he's had training.
    The bar raised on him.
Ive talked to him before a fight before, and Ive never heard him this nervous before.
As long as he sticks to the game plan, and he has his uncle running his corner,so he should,he doesnt have as much to worry about,as he's worrying about.

The nerves might be because he knows he's got a good shot at this one... He's gotten into good shape and made some breakthroughs, and he can feel it in himself that he's a bit more of a winning machine now, so he really wants this one.. Get him to just keep taking some deep breaths...

A REALLLLLLY good thing to is with you vision, to focus on one thing in front of you, then just with the peripheral vision, focus on 2 more things way out to the side..... JUST focusing on 3 things kind of disperses all that energy and tension/voice from your head and you can relax a lot... Then if you can focus on another 2 things back somewhere else, so you sort of have 5 things in your vision that he's focusing on, it empties out the head, and sends/grounds all the energy back down through the body from head to toe... It makes you breath a lot deeper, then he can loosen up a bit and just start relaxingly moving from toe to toe and get warmed up...

But if he's real stressed, just get someone to stand a couple of yards in front of him, tell him to focus on them, then they hold their hands up out to the sides and get him to focus on those also, then 2 things behind somewhere,,,,, only takes a quick few seconds, but it'll pull him out of his head and after doing that for a few seconds, you're brain has trouble going back 100% into a super nervous state as it'll keep the energy grounded somewhat for a whlie....

ANYWAY, nuff of that, you're the master and good luck to both of you!!!

Can't wait to watch this one..

Less then an hour,I might be as nervous as he is.
Not for anything related to my gym,Ive gotten semi-pro champs,Im sure Ill get another one.Im sure sooner or later I get a pro champ too
    But for him
No matter how well you can train a fighter, they still have to be able to do it,and to do it when its go time.
The boy has worked harder then he ever has before, and I want him to feel that hard work pays off.
Its not just a fight, its a life lesson

I agree with what TMonk said.
No amount of training can make you a fighter.
You have to be a fighter, & accept the training to make you better,

A paperboy can't turn into a boxer cuz he happens to have a good trainer,

    IMO.

Still, good luck, you may be a great fighter.

Complete cluster F,split decision loss, but I may have to file a grievance come monday.
At contention is whether or not he got a no warning point pulled for pushing, after the other guy had pushed him.
Im not going to really know until I see the tape a few times. The only thing everyone agrees on is he looked better then he ever has before.
Even if I make the call that theres no grievance to file, apparently he's come miles, and if it was this close,he's got miles to go,but his path is still on the right path.
