I would buy a new one, because odds are it's gonna red ring on you. When you buy it new there is no charge to have it repaired they mail you the packaging to mail it in and everything. Plus if you aren't interested in most of the games it's definately not worth hoping that you can sell them.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

new would be too expensive.. my reason for wanting this one is cause it's pretty cheap..
i found the same system on ebay, new for $264 buy it now, and $15 for shipping.. comes with one wireless controller..
the one on craigslist has two wireless controllers, plus 4 games, plus the high def hookups.. i also don't think i'll have a problem selling the games even if i sell them at 30-40 a piece.. i awnt call of duty, L4D, gears of war 2, but don't want fifa..
anyway.. if i get the original packaging from the dude, will i be able to send it back for repair for no cost if their is an issue?

i already thought of the red ring issue.. this was his response..
The xbox is in good condition cosmetically and working condition. It did have the red ring once, but since I recieved it back I've kept it in a well ventilated spot. And I have no problem showing you it works before hand, I'd want the same thing. I live in Coventry, and I have it all set up. So whenever would be good for you.

Something like 3/4 or more of 360s made within the first year red ring... they know this is there fault an unacceptable to they've offered extended waranties to everybody who bought one before a certain date... no bother you just send it off for free and they'll give you a new one.
You buy second hand you won't get that and there is a high chance that it'll red ring on you and be completely fucked.
They used the wrong type of solder on the circuits during the first year of production and they go brittle from the heat. Also the newer 360s have a proper HDMI output... not just component cables so they look very slightly better if you have the right TV.
If you can't get a new one make sure you get proof of how old the console is
Did he say that it had red ringed before and he'd sent it away? If so it's more than likely got a new motherboard with the right type of solder... it should have a years warrenty from the date it was repaired too.
As long as he can send you that stuff you're OK.
