I have been in this situation b4 ICE, if you recall...and I will offer you a suggestion in which to put the issue to sleep.

What you do is confront the accusers with a bet, like a massive all their rep or maybe even a cash bet or something you both may give a shit about keeping, some sorta bet...then you suggest undeniable proof. You do that, and I guarantee you they will falter, and quiet.
