He's not our best at welter, that would be Kell Brook, but he was clearly the best that Cotto's team were willing to risk him against![]()

Isn't Ricky's brother, Matthew Hatton a welterweight?
I would have rather seen him get a crack at Cotto. Woulda made good hype for a future fight with Ricky Hatton.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Aww shit, so he ran the whole fight? I had to go to sleep before the fight I'd been up over 26 hours and was totally fucked.
He was really on the back foot the first few rounds and just basicly running for dear life and as soon as he got brave, he got cracked and then he folded up like a cheap tent. He got saved by the bell at the end of the 4th which I was hoping would happen and I was hoping he took another few rounds of a beating but like a tent made in Taiwan, he folded up just that quick and he was out of there. in the 5th![]()

Jennings was never expected to win this anyway. It was a big step up for him and it showed. The guy deserves credit for giving it a go though. He's obviously no world beater, but very few are. Cotto got his win, no need to gloat over Jennings though. He was in over his head and could have stayed down early, but got up and was sensible to stop when he did. Leave it at that, I say.

Danny is such a fucking nut hugger... look at him going off and gloating in this thread.
He wanted to see Cotto beat up a Cherry picked opponent for a few more rounds?...
Did you think you'd be able to finish off that box of Kleenex?

Matthew Hatton is a fighter trained by Billy Graham (ie: to lead with his face) with out half the natural talent Ricky has - on other words he's never going to be near elite
