Nice scrap, like both guys.....but I have to go with Marquez in the later rounds.Diaz has plenty of guts, fast hands and a very sturdy chin But I'm going with the vet. This is not the mostly lay back and counter punch Marquez of past, over last few has shown added pressure and willingness to engage....while retaining nice accuracy and combination punching to head and body.Bad mix for Diaz I believe.I think Marquez still possesses too many gears.
The big question...who cuts first. Both seem susceptible, especially Marquez.Diaz should try to turn the tables, out move and out speed Marquez...but do not come straight in and go shot for shot hoping to wear him down.Nice fight all around.
Sometimes we read things and get the wrong idea stuck in our head... read the thread again and highlight where you see someone claim that! If you are refering to what I wrote, in other words that Juan Diaz has heart!
Juan Manuel Marquez could do sh*t against a wimpy Chris John... His upper cut looked amateurish! He may box circle around Diaz but he'll look just like he did against Chris John. Marquez couldn't cut off the ring against John. It wasn't so much John winning the fight as it was Marquez losing... He just didn't do enough to win. And now you are telling me that Juan Diaz is less of a fighter?
I'm sorry if I offended you in any way by what I said. I saw your comment and thought you meant you thought the fight was a SD.
But for the second part of your post. I don't think Marquez is going to be coming forward against Diaz. It will be the other way around. Diaz will be the one attempting to cut off the ring while Marquez will be stepping back ready to counter. If Marquez comes forward, I think that will be a tactical error on his part.
No worries.... we'll see Saturday what happens! I don't really care all that for Diaz, it just looked like he was hit on the break in that fight rather than the non-head butt everyone was talking about.... Make the guy look like a whinner....
Seems like Marquez is always crying about something.. Maybe we'll get lucky and see a double knockout.....

Diaz has it in him to out hustle Marquez, but I think Marquez will land the crisper, more effective blows. It's an interesting clash of styles. I'm going with a Marquez decision.
Such a hard one to call, I enjoy watching both guys, the baby bulls all out combination punching and JMMs crisp countering style should gel well, Marques for me has the edge as BBs going to be coming all night if he fights to past form and that I fear will play into Marques's hands giving him plenty of opportunities to land his counter shots, on the other hand BB could just over whelm him but I just can't see that as JMM's seen off plenty of Manny's attacks in the past, going to be a good one who ever wins.
my heart and brain says jmm, perfect combo of power and skill. he's p4p number 2 for a resaon.

The title made me think of the slogan....
Stop the Juan on Juan violence.....
I will go with Diaz. Split decision very entertaining bout. But if Marquez wins I think it will be by ko.
This is going to be a unanimous decision, or an anytime KO for Juan Manuel Marquez. JMM is too savvy for the Baby Bull Diaz. JMM takes with him the experiences he gained through his battles against P4P king, Pacquiao. If JMM follow the same game plan he had against Pac in his coming date with BB Diaz, it will be an easy win.
Diaz overwhelms his opposition "only" if he can establish landing his combinations with repetitious regularity. This is where Juan Manuel Marquez' evasive footwork exposes how inept the Baby Bull's most effective weapons really are, once it is set against his. Diaz will be too slow in foot speed and punches, for him to be effective and get a decent shot at JMM. Maybe he improved? Most probably not.
Expect the rest of the night to be a display of crisp counter-punching from JMM, landing combinations that will illicit the oohs and the aahs from the gallery, absent from a lot of non-PPV bouts. Come to think of it, even some PPV bouts!
The only reason JMM, did not get decisions on his fights against Pacquiao, is because Pacquiao had the ability to match JMM's speed, and the power that unfortunately knocked him down each time it landed flush.
On both speed and power, Juan "the Baby Bull" Diaz, is a notch slower, enough for the other Juan, to punish him through counters. Tire and frustrate him, from the active retreat style of the later.
JMM easily by unanimous decision, that is if BB can absorb well the wicked combinations to remain upright, or KO if not... anytime, because it will land all night. Maybe TKO for cuts, also, JMM! Maybe he's slowed down a bit, already? Most probably not!
He definately broke Diaz' will (Campbell). He walked away with almost every single late round, and Diaz had no answer for him. JMM is not big enough to hurt Diaz. JMM can counterpunch all he wants, but if you can't put the baby bull on defense, he is just gonna keep throwing punches and steamroll.
I know we haven't seen a bad performance by JMM yet, but I am thinking he may have taken too big of a bite outta the LW division this time. All the JMM fans (one of my fav) can only hope the baby bull is too busy reading his books for this one (graduating this spring btw).
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."
- and I quote from some random guy on the internet
Juan Diaz took a terrible beating from Campbell and showed tremendous heart to last the distance. He did NOT quit like Kid Diamond did. So give that bullshit a rest man.
Upsets have been happening pretty often lately, but I don't see one here.
Gotta go with Marquez by a comfortable decision. 117-111.
Diaz will push him though and see how strong he is at light weight.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Ya ok then, I can see where Diaz was 'crying' because he thought he was fouled might be taken as him wanting to quit. But it was his presents in the ring showed he was sticking it out even though stamina had gone in the last three rounds. I can see where some may take this as his will being broken. But the boy was just being stupid. The boy didn't train hard enough for the fight! He was fighting stupidity as much as he was Campbell and that's not being broken... It shows his lack of maturity. Although the boy has more brains than most fighters it also doesn't mean he has wisdom. So ya not quitting does mean he has heart. If he really quit, then I don't think many of his fans would still back him.
