So essentially a high protein diet/Atkins type thing.
ono -it starts to get very complicated. You start getting in to carbs - those that sugar those that don't - check out how food labels are listed.

I'm very close to a diploma in sports nutrition. The really was meant as sarcasm
I'm not a fan of cutting out carbohydrates. There's better ways to lose weight. Like you say, the average person doesn't have amazing restraint when it comes to food selection and cutting out carbs will eventually lead to a point where the craving gets to badly that the person will likely to return to their old ways. I hear you about the Pizza....espeically with Dominoes just a phone call away
A diet where gradual reduction in carbohydrate is probably the better solution long term. Especially for an athlete. We all saw what happened to Oscar when he followed a low carbohydrate - high protein diet leading up to the Pac fight. He made weight really well......but that's the only positive thing you can really say about his performance.
Sorry mate, I edited your post trying to quote you! fixed it - Adam

ah..
Hell, I can't keep up with everyone's private life!
Oscar should smack whoever advised him or if he doesn't have the strength to lift his arms ask Pac to do it.
"best weigh to lose weight" pun intended?
seriously, if you cut calories but still eat correctly and by the food groups you will lose excess fat. If you workout daily/every other day you will lose fat much quicker. I suppose it all depends on your goal.
Without getting into details like Ono and co., if you have excess "fat" on your body, meaning you're not in good shape, then you don't need a damn diet plan, or even diet book to tell you what to eat. Just exercise and cut calories. You will lose fat so fast.
If you're in good shape and trying to get in better shape, then you should look into talking to a nutritionist and stuff of that sort.
just my opinion and thoughts from my previous experience of losing weight and getting into shape. I was never ever over weight, but i trimmed about 15 lbs in 2 months to get into great shape. Took a little while but doing it the right way paid off.
You simply need to just figure out roughly how many calories you are eating a day and then reduce it while doing some sort of cardio. You need carbs for energy, the best way to do this is to eat them at times when you require energy so you burn them. If you eat a shit load of carbs all the time then it gets stored and turned into fat. Carbs are not bad as long as you use them the right way. So you shouldnt really forget carbs and just eat protein, you need to include both in your diet. Cutting weight is mostly diet, if you were to do hectic cardio every day and eat nothing but shit you would get no results. Losing weight in an unhealthy matter like water weight, starving or any other stupid way then you will most likely not maintain it. Cut the shit food out, no soft drinks...AT ALL, no chocolate...no alcohol, eat some salads, steak, breast chicken,tuna,fruit...all common sense really. Oh and pizza is the kind of thing that could ruin all the hard work you do in a week in one night![]()
The easy and best way to lose weight could be depend upon what type of diet you take and the food you eat.
Skinny Water Diet also helps you burn calories, by adding to your body's ability to do so, and by making sure that there are not excess calories that may need to be burned. Lastly, Skinny Water helps your metabolism function better. This ultimately leads to weight loss because your metabolism should be allowing you to burn the calories that you are actually taking in. Once you have achieved your weight loss goals, you can burn calories without worrying about gaining that excess weight.
LOL, why thank you for that enlightening post, which pharmaceutical conglomerate do you work for?
You can't help your metabolism 'function better', you can alter it by a couple percent at most if you were dieting strict and training consistently, otherwise you'd be transforming from an ectomorph, to endomorph to mesomorph etc. Everyone has a set metabolism from genetics and from the way your body developed from young, so the only thing you can do to combat it if you're a person that eats and it shows, with a gut or whatever, is determining what body type you have ecto, endo, meso like i said before.
"Once you have achieved your weight loss goals, you can burn calories without worrying about gaining that excess weight."
HAAHAHAHA, where in god's name did you get that from, that has got to be the biggest load of ... i've ever heard.
Once you lose your weight, you still have to watch what you eat, but not so religiously because you are on a maintenance diet, rather than a deficit, i.e. you can eat a bit more carbs and fat and not worry about it.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but I just get the shits when I see all these bullshit commercial diets posted, and if i hear one more word about lemon detox diet, im going to knockout someone.
