    Yea even when I was cutting weight and going high protein/low carb...I still made sure to load carbs pre workout. Why largely is that I really noticed the difference when I didn't. A painful difference it was too especially when it came to sparring. Without it was simply lethargic.

    The thing is with low carb diets is eventually you will deplete your muscle of glycogen if you are training on a consistent basis so eventually you will reach a plateu or you will hit a brick wall....so pre and post workout carbs are a necessity imo.

    last night I went easy. 30 mins of circuits then to the sauna.

    It's not that my muscles are tired I just feel tired.

    Sort of. I kinda feel like I'm at the doctors. Could just be a matter of getting more sleep/water because I've upped my training.

    boo. Hurt my left wrist and pulled something in my right pec whilst hitting the bags last night. Nothing major but I do feel it.

    I've never been injured by a punch...all my injuries have happened in the gym... makes me wonder about the frequency of injury for other boxers.

    back in the gym again...if no one is looking I might slip in some drills I'm reading about - training for speed, agility & quickness.
