    Default Wayne McCulough fighting again....:(

March 16th in New York on the undercard of Andy Lee Vs Antwun Echols, Wayne's just looking for something bad to happen, of all the fighters that should be retired and continue to fight on, he's probably one of the ones that worries me the most, the dude made a career on his chin, if he continues to do so, it'll end up in tragedy, he's lost 3 in a row, 2 to Oscar Larios, and then to a nobody in Juan Ruiz, who by the way was on his own 3 in a row losing streak

one of the great all time irish fighters ruining a hard earned legacy just for the sake of a few extra bucks.

Shame he couldnt of got the dunne fight as he would of actually had a half a squeak of winning that.

Anything else is just sad to see really

the thing is i don't think he's doin it for the money, i think he actually just wants to fight, in an other interview he had said his family is already secure, and i remember him bein a part time boxing writer and writing very good articles, meaning he already has another means of making money

Yes, this is very sad; Pocket Rocket was one of my first favorites, I remember 15 years ago he’s fights delighted me but unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to see many of them.
I think you’re right, he’s not doing this for the money and 2 years ago when I saw him in Andrade’s corner I thought he would never fight again.

As bad as it may sound who wouldn't want to watch this guy. I will be worried for him but if he comes out ok then who cares. Fighter's have to fight to make a living. I to don't think he should be fighting but it is his choice and I'll back him.

He has a heart, chin and work rate but not a big puncher and not world class. I will still support him.

He's working for UFC in England too. Some boxers just can't give it up. I remember him getting battered senseless by Scott Harrison for twelve rounds and his wife giving a defiant interview after the fight saying he'd be back. Neither of them appear to know when it's time for him to retire.

Man, it's really sad to see when a fighter doesn't know when to say when.
I agree Larios should not be fighting anymore either.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

McCullough is solid brass and guts. But he should definatly call it a day.I believe he has done some good work outside of the ring, commentator and corner work.I think this is a case of a very proud man carrying national pride on his shoulders as well.

Echols is one of the sloppiest but threating guys in recent memory, hes on the other side but I think he has a live chance with Lee.

that's what i'm saying, he's already paid his dues, he had a great career, i mean he wasn't ever really one of the greatest fighters of his time, but he made up for that with his warrior spirit and willingness to stay in there and even finish the fight, making whoever he was fighting earn his win, make him work for it, never in a boring fight and always gave the fans their money's worth, has plenty of other opportunities without the gloves on, hope he chooses that path soon

I think he genuine feels like he's got unfinished business in boxing, i'd be almost sure he wasn't doin it for the money. He obviously still has a desire to get back in.

Good fighter, but not in the world class category. I'd be surprised if he adds anything of great note to his record.

Fully agree, should have many oppurtunitys out of the ring.Really a sharp guy but the wars have a way of catching up suddenly.Awesome scraps w/Morales,Zaragoza,Larios,also Bueno and Rabanales but I thought he got a bit lucky on the card in those two Imo.Man,the bombs he walked through with Hamed were scary.

Anyone know if his wife is still managing him (??)
