Pac destrerves to be a top 3 p4p fighter. He has earned his place and I even had him at #1 last year. However, I dont agree with him being at number one right now. It seems that a lot of boxing writers and boxing organizations need to forget about how big Manny has become with the boxing publc and start taking things for face value. JMM and B-Hop have a better case for being p4p #1 based on opposition and being proven at multiple weights against each divisions elite.

Even PAC admitted that he's not a great boxer... He's only a good boxer that happens to beat great boxers... And in most of his post-fight interviews, he humbly said that he's just lucky...

It's not PAC's fault he's been installed at the no. 1 P4P boxer throne... He didn't buy that position... But to say that it's sad day for boxing having PAc at that position is totally ridiculous... PAC had done a lot for boxing... He bring excitement to the sport... He's one of the most exciting boxers around...

Good points. The media and especially Pacfans put too much weight in the DLH win. Sure it looked good on paper, but anyone ranked in the top 20 at 147 could have taken oscar that night.

Your basing a p4p standing as worst because of 2 controversial fights with JMM...now I'm calling you an idiot. Manny has taken on all comers and now is facing the undisputed Jr Welterweight champion of the world who has not lost at that weight. And your calling him limited. Manny has power, speed, determination to win and goes for the gusto every time he steps in the ring. Also your saying he brings the worst fans why because they stand by their countrymen or love the fact that he brings crossover appeal. The sport needs more humble boxers like Manny who know how to do their job when the bell rings. I think he is the right choice for p4p#1 at this moment and time. I think he is just as good as Pernell Whitaker who at times could put people to sleep with his style. Plus he is only 30 and his career is not even done yet. And your boy Roy Jones had opponents that he should have fought but chose not to and you know who I'm talking about Eagle because we been here b4. But Roy chose to fight the Richard Fraziers of the world instead of more meaningful fights. Manny is good for the sport and the ppv numbers are showing it too.

Ive got JMM the better all around fighter with many more gears than Manny.And man...I like Pacquiao.Love the intensity,the self belief and undeniable presence.And his willingness to engage some top caliber fighters as of late.Think he made a clear mutual money grab engaging in that carnival farce reality show with Delahypa...as opposed to cleaning up his respected division and even now finishing an open chapter with JMM that is an undeniable and pertinent issue....
