As i said in a previous thread on this same topic, I heavily favor Pavlik in this fight. I'm not even going to "cover" myself and say that i wouldn't be surprised if Sergio pulled something out, because i really don't ever see that happening. I think sergio can make this fight competetive in the early rounds, but his lunging style could really hurt him. If Kelly catches him ONCE when sergio is on the way in, then he's done.
Sergio doesn't have the experience or the footwork to take down kelly. For someone who can't hurt their opponent, he would need to fight on the outside and score, and i can't see that happening for 12 rounds.
Sergio does have a good chin and reasonable lateral movement though.
If he chooses to trade Pavlik will mow him down to a late round stoppage, if he fights cute though, Kelly may struggle.
hmm, okay.. i'll give you that.. Sergio has a "good" chin, considering his opposition.. I totally see Kelly struggling in the early rounds.. As i said the fight will be competitive early because of Sergio's speed. He fights in spurts though, and not that he won't be able to muster up the stamina to fight at Kelly's pace, but i don't see him working 3 min of every round like he will need to. He will make Kelly look flat-footed, and he may drop a few good counters in with his lateral movement, but too much is against him in this fight. If Kelly can take a beating of flush shots from BHOP and still come forward, Sergio will need a bat to stop Kelly. re-iterating my previous post, Sergio doesn't have the experience nor footwork that he needs to win. Bhop laid the blueprint down, but you need to be world class to pull that off again, and i don't put sergio in that category.
I fully agree that Mora couldn't hold B-Hops jock strap, I think he presents different issues though style wise. I also think a large part of Mora's game plan is holding we'll have to see how much the ref allows that.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
