Max Clifford has managed to milk our obsession with watching metaphorical car crashes, love of looking down on 'lesser people' and love or 'pantomime villains' very well... that is a talent... Jade Goody has been lucky enough to have been taken along on that ride by him. Good for her... I'm not even knocking her, simply saying that it has been a case of EASY COME and unfortunately easy go.

Unfortunately I know plenty of people with worse backgrounds than Jade Goody who worked to better themselves.

To piggy back on Fenster, lots of upper class people don't deserve what they have either.

You won't find somebody who agrees more. What's your point? I'm not attacking lower classes or even Jade Goody.

The whole point I am making is that it is easy come easy go. Here today gone tomorrow.

Adam there have been literally hundreds of reality tv stars created over the last 10 years, Jade was the only who managed to convert that into a succesful and lasting media career.

It was hardly easy come easy go. Think how many hundreds of people have been on just Big Brother in the UK over the past decade, a couple hundred I'd imagine. Then add in all the other reality shows.

How many of them went on to have succesful media careers and become millionaires like Jade?

It wasn't easy at all. I know people personally who have applied to get on Big Brother (and yes I think that is unbelievably sad!). But there are literally thousands of hopefuls every single year. Most of them are not even 'regular' people at all but already ambitious types signed up with modelling agencies, their own agents etc.

Jade literally was just a dental nurse, no agent, no modelling career, not particularly attractive, she was just a common chav.

Yet unlike virtually every single other reality star ever she made it, and she made it big.

There's nothing easy about it. It's no easier to become a millionaire celebrity via the reality tv route than it is to go via acting, football, modelling, singing etc. In fact those disciplines offer far more opportunities for a real career than appearing on a reality show ever could.

How many famous reality stars are created each year compared with footballers, actors, singers, bands etc?

If you think anyone could do it and that it didn't take hard work and a real talent for self promotion on her part why not just do it yourself and bag an easy fortune mate?

What Jade managed to achieve for herself literally out of nothing was incredible.

It's also worth noting that as a direct result of Jade's publicising her battle with cancer that literally thousands of woman around the country have been enquiring about getting cervical smear tests and even a committe has been set up to institute a new health care policy of bringing in smear tests for cervical cancer for the under 25's, something which is believed will save thousands of lives.

So this simple common girl will leave a lasting legacy and help prevent the early deaths of thousands of women in this country, ironically meaning she has done more for the betterment of mankind (well womankind) than all the other really talented people that you esteem above her.
