    Max has paid his dues...

I think a lot of people don't know where he came from and what he's done in order to be there.
I'm not saying his opinions are right and or his word is final but Max does look at things from a neutral point whenever he analyses a subject.

People think Max career started with ESPN, when in reality it started yrs. before that in his living room as a teen.

Make no mistake about it, Max is a hardcore boxing analist. Not a "sports anchor" who was directed to boxing nope. Boxing is it for him it's been a part of him since his childhood.

Yes, yes, yes, you are right about that. You make compelling point. Boxing is his life. His SOMEWHAT prvilegd background helped out a bit too. The Kellermans as a family are very well off (assuming they stayed away from Bernie M). Still, Max is a bright guy and earned his OWN way. I'll conced that.

Actually, there is another side to Max as there is to most of us. His eulogy for his brother was something to behold. There was not a dry eye anywhere. He paid him a great tribute. I mentioned it in my first book in a chapter entitled, "The Memory Bank." I also said the following about his brother, Sam: "The incomprehensible circumstances surrounding Sam Kellerman’s death are almost too horrifying to fathom. Gifted and uncommonly multi-talented, Kellerman was an overachiever who had many friends in the New York City area. He was as bright as a new copper penny and had unlimited potential. When Sam Kellerman left us, we all lost. His memory surely will endure."

Yep.In that respect, he is very fortunate to actualize something he really loves. Few get that opportunity. Great points.

I must admit I quite like the guy, I look forward to his analysis. To me he comes across as a hardcore nerd fan, like a more media friendly Don Omega. If he wasn't on HBO he'd probably be on youtube competing for viewers with the blinky eyed kid.

And as a big bug eyed man myself its great to see someone waving the flag for us bulbous types. He's following in that small but illustrious line of hyperthroidists such as Marty Feldman and Steve Buscemi and has become one of the true heartthrobs of our age

Too funny, cause I often make fun of Max and I've said this before but he looks like a human version of Bart Simpson.

So because of the fact he is "boxing hardcore" and has "paid his dues" we should all completely forget about the endless indescretions the guy makes over and over again and just ignore the fact the mans a byest moron just because he`s had to earn his right to be a moron the hard way!!!

Screw that............there are hundreds of kellermans out there who live and breath the sport doesnt mean every single one of them is entitled to make an ass of themselves every week infront of millions of fans.

If you genuinely believe from watching kellerman that he doesnt have byest pro-american and HBO boys in his mindset you clearly just arent paying close enough attention to the man and his ENDLESS array of faux-pas!!

Wow, this is a great exchange of views. Has me back in forth like a politician.

Maybe he is more like us than we want to admit. A boxing geek gone famous.

You obviously missed the part where I said: "I'm not saying his opinions are right and or his word is final but Max does look at things from a neutral point whenever he analyses a subject."

About gloryfying fighters, you realize all analist have favorites.
I mean Jim Lampley get's all misty eyed and is almost brought to tears whenever ODLH fights.
Dan Rafael had a man crush on Joel Julio.

Some on here have very thin skin. Max used to annoy me but his obvious passion for what he does clearly shows in his broadcasts. He's knows what he's talking about. He asks the fighters what fans want to know and he isn't afraid to ask the tough questions. Max is good in my book. Lamp can't carry his micraphone. If you don't like him then turn down the volume.

Yeah I like Kellerman too, I also can't understand why people moan about his slow delivery when speaking to foreign fighters.

What is wrong with speaking in a slow and clear voice so someone from Indonesia like Chris John can clearly understand what he's saying?

Wouldn't it be worse if we kept hearing the fighters go 'I'm sorry, pardon, what? I don't understand etc'

and how can Bunce moan about anybodies interview technique only yesterday he had some top woman boxer on his show and he basically just ran down the entirety of woman's boxing in general and the poor girl in particular by saying that women boxers wouldn't win the fans over becuase they couldn't punch.

I'd rather listen to Kellerman any day of the week
