No doubt Clottey has the better chin, but Cotto is faster, hits harder, better technically. I am not saying Cotto can't lose this fight, he looked hesistant and less than impressive in his last outing, but Clottey is definitely the underdog and for good reason. I see this being similar to Cotto against Lovemore Ndou or Abdullaev.
Clottey has a bigger frame and taller than Cotto... Clottey comes to a welter fight in the 170 lbs. range... You'll be surprise on fight night to see how small Cotto will be compared to Clottey...

Judah was looking for a way out from that fight... When the ring doctor asked him "how many fingers?", he answered "six"... j/k

he did not quit, give me a break, the ref stopped because of the cut, and Clottey was far from dominating, he won a Technical Decision and barely with scores of, Duane Ford 87-84, Glenn Trowbridge 86-85, George Hill 86-85, he's only 1 inch taller than Cotto and has a 3 inch reach advantage, but Clottey also has a very small waist which usually don't hold up that well against body shots, especially Cotto like left hooks to the body, i'd go so far to say that Cotto gave Judah his worst BEATING, Tszyu giving him the most brutal KO of his career, the fight should be a bit competitive, and Clottey does have a chance to win it, but i see Cotto winning a comfortable UD, 7 or 8 rounds to 5 or 4.
Clottey did not dominate early in the Judah fight but when Clottey started to bust Judah, I think Judah was looking for a way out (quit) and the cut was a very good reason for the way out...

I think this will be a great fight. i think Cotto is going to sharp shoot and win the first 4-5 rounds but Clottey has an iron chin and super stamina so he will keep coming and close the gap in the middle/late rounds. I think Cotto by decision.

Cotto cant fade like he did for Mosley and Margarito. I just hope Cotto comes in with top stamina....

Granting Judah rocked Clottey, he's still the BIG loser in that fight and from what I saw, IMO he quit...

Judah quits against Clottey in the 9th round while Cotto TKOs Judah in the 11th...

Clottey is also much bigger than Cotto...

Oh you missed one...........Cotto beat Mosley who knocked out Margarito MINUS his plaster wraps.
Mosley is NOT a common opponent of Clottey and Cotto... Mosley and Clottey has to fight yet...

I think Margo and Judah are the only common opponents of Clottey and Cotto...

Never said he was but I'm saying it anyway. Your using performances of Margarito, a proven cheat, as some kind of measuring stick to how this fight would pan out.

Margo, without his plaster, had no confidence in his punches againsed Shane.

No shame in getting rocked by Judah, the guy had thunder in his left hand....he even legitimately knocked down mayweather, (mayweather's glove touched the canvas but was ruled a slip).

That being said, Judah did quit in the Clottey fight....

I'm talking about common opponents and you throw in the name of Mosley which is way out of the subject matter...

Regarding Margacheato, we can assumed he used plaster in both the Cotto and Clottey fights... The plaster made Cotto quit while apparently no effect on Clottey... Go figure that...

We can assumed Margo used plaster in both the Cotto and Clottey fights... I'm also using Judah (another common opponent) as another measuring stick... I guess Judah is not a cheat...

People keep brining up Mosley fight as if it was a clear win for Cotto one of closes fights could of gone anyway kel as for this fight. Cotto has shown he slows done big time late in fights in Mosley and Margarito fight what ever people say so who knows whats going to happen.
