Holmes has a right to be bitter about how King robbed him of tying Marciano's record against Spinks. And also about being underrated.

But his own odd personality was to blame for his less-than-Ali public image.

He couldn't have won however he turned: he whipped an old Ali, people hated him for it, and then he had to follow Ali as the next Champ.

He wasn't really the spitting image of a Champ.

I don't know if he's a jerk. BUt he sure is bitter. Worst of all, he's a Heavy Champ and he's accusing another Heavy Champ of being overrated? He should feel comraderie with ALL Heavy Champs, and not judge harshly anyone who held the belt. Not even Bruce Seldon...........errr, ummm
scratch that, he would bitch over and over about Don King, yet he'd always go back to him, he has no reason to feel bitter about anything to do with Don King cause he'd always go back to him, bringing iit upon himself after knowing that King is just a theif
