Last round. Froch went for it because he had to and it paid off. Taylor should have boxed smarter but there you go.

Shades of Mosley/Mayorga. I'm sure the fact that the guy who was ahead on points gets stopped in the last round will draw comparisons.

Yep, good comparison that. Mayorga was boxing really well in that, Mosley was well out of sorts.

Taylor has it in him to outbox most guys at SMW IMO, except for Kessler who I think is better than everyone else. He always falters down the stretch though. But it's credit to Froch that he really went for it in a way that someone like Hopkins never would. Really left no room for doubts about who won the fight.

It was my second proper look at Froch and he certainly knows how to make a fight watchable! I see a lot of things wrong with him, but he keeps finding a way to win. He can't always rely on heart and chin, so he should keep finding ways to improve.

He keeps calling out Calzaghe but a decent Calzaghe would just outpoint him to death. No way ready for that.

Its okay saying that but lets remember the 2 notable names he has beat. Jean Pascal and Jermain Taylor. Pascal is a heartless fringe contender, Taylor doesn't even look like he's interested in there at times and has bad stamina issues.

Froch starts fighting top level fighters and he'll get beaten, comfortably.
