Roach has got him bang on it and the difference was obvious to see (hands up high, in out style, fast feet etc...remind you of anyone?) and saprring with Pac is obviously going to pay off and to me it looks like it has already has.
Think he'll have fun with Kotelnik and get the strap but we'll have to see about some other bigger hitting fighters when the time comes.
Sad thing is it's only gonna take one Bomb bang on the jaw or temple and it's good night Khan again.
Shame really as he has every other tool in the box in abundance imo.

based on what? His massive punching power? Sorry Smash that is laughable.

He may have gone back to focusing on speed but as I said elsewhere, he doesn't have the chin or the punch of Pac so it's silly to think he is any kind of second coming to save British boxing now that Hatton has bit the dust at elite level.

Come off it he was boxing Barreras head off and had him on the back foot throughout the entire fight.
    Thats what i saw anyway.

Barrera said himself he was Hungry, trained well and wanted to school him so that was a good MAB who walked to the ring that night and by his own admission too.

Think the ref would have saved marco as he offered absolutely nothing back at all and was shell shocked by Khans speed.
I saw a 3" flesh wound that poured of blood for five rounds....being on the back foot 'may' have had something to do with that

The ref should have saved him in the 1st round.

but you know, keep on talking up Khan's amazing speed. All the funnier when he gets knocked out. Badly.

I've seen those many a time
Course he'll end up splattered over the canvas sooner or later but all i'm saying is i think he'll beat Kotelnik convincingly and win the belt.
No one knows how far he'll go in between.

You saying Khan won't win a World title against Kotelnik?

He will and he'll make it look easy

As for World Domination.... i don't see it! i just posted an article of the possibility
When did I say he wouldn't beat Kotelnik ?

You implied that he would rule the world, to me that suggets he will beat everybody out there and win multiple world titles.

There's a difference between that and winning an alphabet title against the worst world champion at the weight class Andriy Kotelnik.

If your theory is that you "Rule the world" when you win an alphabet title all I can do is this.....

    I implied this...

"Khans impressed me the way he's bounced back and under Roach i think he'll get the title he so badly wants."

Fair enough. In the wider (world) scene that doesn't mean a whole lot. If was anyone but Khan people (not just me) would be saying 'so what.' It's a nothing title.

Rule the world ? You've got to be joking. Let me know when he fights someone decent. And I'm not counting a 100 year old Barrera in that. I see he's fighting another bum hand fed to him by Frank Warren in his next fight.

i think he will beat Kotelnik too

But he has pissed me off even more with his statement.....
Similar to Express, in Sun this morning "who would thought I would get this far so soon............It took David Haye 7 years to win a title, Carl Frcoh 8 years....I will have done it in half the time"

Yes and it will take Prescott longer.

So why will he have managed to do it in half the time.........

And didn't you say you wanted a rematch with Prescott before you challenged for a world title...

Haye rebounded from defeat to win the LINEAL title in his 5th year after "earning" his WBC shot through the European title route.

That's a bit different to getting an alphabet shot because you have a big fish promoter.

    Kudos to Warren then

If i was Khan i'd be VERY happy to have any sort of title shot within 4 years plus a high profile fight with Barrera and after such a brutal loss to Prescott.

Fact is if he beats Kotelnik he's right up there for a crack at a real title.

I'd be happy as with that if i were him

never thought of it that way, very true - kudos to Warren ;-)

It's Khan annoying me talking as if it was all him who got him this far - and not Warren or the silver medal

He's fighting Kotelnik for the WBA title. That is a REAL "world" title if you take any notice of the big four alphabets.

Warren is quite brilliant at what he does... contrary to what many fans think.

Part of it is also how popular Khan is. The fact is he and Haye remain the only active boxers (assuming Hatton retires) who have names are recognizable to the casual sports fan. Carl Froch may get there after another fight, but the fact remains that his last fight's delayed screening had no publicity behind it and he remains a bit of a no-mark to your average non-boxing fan. Haye is everywhere on Setanta & in the press for the past few months, and Khan is probably the most well-known of recent years after Hatton & Calzaghe because of his Olympic exploits & his initial fights being on ITV
