He hasn't needed more than two punches.....not his fault why add risk or more wear and tear on your body because of the lack of your comp. I have a hard time watching these boring fights along with everyone else but i don't blame the guy, give him a reason to fight. I wouldn't even take off my street clothes for most of these guys, him warming up is more effort than he really needs to be putting out.

Why risk more wear and tear on his body

He's a fighter...and as a fighter he puts himself at Greater risk of injury the longer he is in the ring..thats just logic.

It actually makes much more sense to beast down on an opponent to get yourself the hell out of there a lot quicker..especilly against some of the Muppets he has fought, who could actually take heart by the lack of enthusiasm for the fight he shows'..What is he really going to do by throwing a few more punches and prolonging the attack in each round? BRUISE HIS KNUCKLES

For Wlad its not a case of LOW WORKRATE to lessen the risk of injury or wear and tear and more about not wanting to be hit...he has'nt the Heart for a War...so he only pushes his jab into an opponent as a spoiling tool..Pure and Simple!

mofo, could you please tell me what fighter ENJOYED getting hit

Wladimir is a dominant champion and probably won't be fully respected until he retires and leaves the division in flux.

I think Nicolay Valuev would open up Wladimir's offense, Tony Thompson kept Wlad busier than most opponents

I still don't know how Tony Thompson landed more punches than Wladimir that night yet won only 2 rounds maximum.

Well to be honest I think it was the types of punches Tony landed, also the ring generalship aspect of scoring fights has to be taken into account....also it's a moot point as Wladimir knocked him out.

Prime Holyfield would have been kept at bay for a while but I think his beard and his workrate would bother anyone and that anyone includes Wlad. Evander did like getting on the inside and so far we haven't really seen anyone get there and stay there vs Wladimir....I know a Prime Holyfield could walk through big punches so I know he could get there but how he would get there I don't know.

People would have been happier if Chagaev had come out for the 11th and gotten stopped in the ring. So it's really Chagaev's fault

The point I was trying to make...was that fighters accept as a consequence getting hit but when they see an opponent hurting they throw a little caution to the wind and go looking to finish them off!!

They will use there ringcraft to cut of an opponent...pressureise...and then finish them!!

    Wlad really never does this...

He appears almost scared to get hit...he does'nt like to chance things even when he's in complete charge of a fight..this tells me that he does'nt like to be hit or mix it up because of it!!

Its obvious I don't rate him highly, but i'm not a Hater just more of a doubter..I want the HW Champion of the world to look the part when he fights but Wlad just Ambles on!! Maybe as you say he will get credit and his respect when he retires, but I cannot help but be disappointed in him now!

I think your spot on, he does not use his abilities to effect, he used to throw bombs once upon a time.

I think Wlad is versitile enough with his punches. Like they say, "if ain't broke, don't fix it".
